Okay..going to start out in plenty of time so hopefully those folks that are close enough or have the urge to just get-away can meet up in Elko October the 27th..we have plentry of hotels at 10 miles out and of course for the intrepid traveler, we have a couple acres..throw up a tent...sleep in the car..whatever..only thing is that I would ask always, would like to have a general idea of those who can attend for reason of lunch for that day...

think it ovr..if you can get here..would be a great time to swap lies, kick tires and put a face with the name of the forum..

Tim I'll be there and you can do some body work demos on the 48. Hey figured I'd start swapping lies early.....

Oh boy! I hope we can make it this year! I won't know what my schedule is until October, but circling it on our calendar! Will bring desserts. When its just the two of us there's hardly a justification to make desserts, but now we have a reason to make some tortes! :D

just an opportunity for some of the forum members to get together at my place, day event..however don't let that stop you as there are other events and sights in the area that may be of interest to you..we have a very large aviation museum and of course Andersonville is just down the road, a must see for civil war buffs..quiet community about 10 miles from town, surrounded by cotton and peanut fields

it is just a time to get together, chat, discuss tech stuff, kick tires and "munch on some grindage" get to put a face with a name and so forth..not sure of the food yet..mums has charge of that..I do not think anyone has gone hungry when here..

Last time we had one of these was a send off for Chris and Jerry to continue their way back to Canada after an unfortunate event left their car in storage at my place a couple months....Even Merle Coggins was close enough on a business trip to attend...even if you do not a a car ready for the road, just don't care to drive the ole tin that far etc etc..bring the modern iron, get out and meet some folks..according to the Mayians, this is your last chance..

Sounds like fun. I wish I could. I highly recommend it to anyone who can make the trek to Elko. Tim puts on a good spread and it's always fun to kick tires and listen to tall tails from a bunch of car guys. And as the man says... you don't have to come in a classic vehicle. I showed up at the afore mentioned event on my motorcycle and I was welcomed with open arms.

And a grand time it was, too. Anyone anywhere within one or two days drive should think hard about going. See posts 9 & 10... http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=26625&highlight=long+road+home

I'm definitely planning to attend. The last get together was a great time and the impromptu car show in the yard was nice as well. It is great to meet some of the other forum members. Nice to speak face to face, not face to screen. Besides, Tim I will go ahead and warn you I'm gonna try and talk you out of the D24 front bumper Lou sold you.

OMG  this will be the Saturday that I am driving from LA to Vegas on my "belated" Honeymoon

I'm going to miss this meet up but compared to Australia I will be soo close.

Dammit ... would be so great to meet up with the grand high masters.

Maybe the 27th should be meet in Elko day. We seem to have a few Elko's going around. I know there's one a bit south of me in MN. They even have a speedway(thats the only thing I know they have).
