Greg, I am bring the 47 to Maryland and am going to have it judged. I know Earle and the boys will pick it apart, but thats part of the fun. I did 71 in the coupe, this one is faster (I can't say just yet, I am trying to get invited to the big race between Pete and Don).. Also for the tail gate party I am planniong on bring a bigger grill this year so we can really burn some stuff!

Sorry Don, I like this color more..Definite a very nice looking car :)

On the tires...the white seems ragged. Are these real white walls?John

John some times due to the photos being compressed, the circle won't "match" the arcs that make up a complete circle are no longer in contact, making the white wall look like an older or beat up tire. Next time you click on the photo click again after it shows and it will expand again.

Then you will see a magnifying icon with a plus sign in it, believe it or not click one more time and you will see the size in which the picture was truly taken. Those are some nice white walls and a nicer color car than I have seen in a while!

Car looks great Mark. Missed you at Pinckneyville on Sunday. It was a good show.

Hope to catch up with you in the future. I'd love to get a better look at your '47.

Do you have some more pics......engine, interior.....?

Should be fun to drive. Let me know if you're coming thru Joplin any time in it.

Thanks for the comments, I am really happy the way it is turning out. That is the original color I believe it is Aviator Blue (Same color as the 41 (Bob Macke) that won best of show is Charlotte) Confirmed the color match by the body tag and iside the trunk (car had previouly been repainted a similiar blue) Bought the tires from Coker, cost more than what I paid for the car. All Chrome and stainless redone, new glass, interior moulding regrained, new suspension, body mounts, brake lines, disc brakes, OD, dual carbs and exhaust

Was also able to match the orginal seat, headlines and door materials.

Have you drove it with the OD yet? I wondered how it drove. Is the glass tinted? That looks really good.

The group from the forum has a tailgate party on the Friday evening of the event (Sept 25th) So since you folks have more tailgates than we do it only makes sense to invite you to join us. We usually bring regional favorite foods from our home areas ro share, beverages of choice, and MOPAR stories and other tall tales and baldfaced lies."
