PatS.... Posted June 11, 2009 Author Report Posted June 11, 2009 I did some research, its built on a 1986 Lincoln chassis and has a Ford 5 Litre engine for power. Close...the fellow in the pictures with the coffee cup built this entirely by hand beginning with the family 85 Mercury Marquis sedan. The frame was shortened and the engine moved back and lowered. The windshield is from a Neon, the dash is a BMW, the wheels are Chrysler 300. There are a bunch of other parts like the door glass and quarter glass from different vehicles. The mechanicals are stock. The guy said he was a sheet metal mechanic and draftsman. The thing is absolutely flawless...just an amazing piece of craftsmanship. Quote
Brendan D25 Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 Sure is quite a piece of craftmanship. The name of the car " Atlantis" can be seen on the carpet mouldings. There was a write up in Old Autos on it a while back. Thanks for sharing Pat. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 Bugatti Atlantis? I was also thinking Bugatti Quote
Frank Elder Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 I was hoping it was the new topalino! Quote
