Bob Riding Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 A friend was cleaning out his son's storage shed and came accross a '51 Plymouth Suburban wagon that had been planned to be street rodded, but wasn't. My friend is cleaning out everything and just wants to get rid of it. Rather than have him send it to the crusher, I looked it over yesterday and it's in about the same shape as mine, so I really can't use it. The body is off the frame and is straight - interior was redone and is actually pretty decent. If anyone is interested, reply back - I will post pictures tonight when I get home The car is near Santa Rosa, CA Bob Quote

radioguy7 Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 If you can ship it free to CT I'll take it!! Imagine how life will change once they invent a practical partical transporter!! No more USPS or shipping, the item you ordered would just dematerialize in your living room. Quote
Reg Evans Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 I'm very interested and not too far away. I could come and get it this weekend. Reg Quote
glendale Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 if reg backs out i'm also very interested! Quote
Vazlov1949 Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Can't use it? You have one just like it and you can't use it? It's not like you can go down to Wallmart and buy a new one. What if your rear end goes out or someone crushes a fender, not to mention the tailgate. If it was me I would find someway of keeping the sheet metal at the very least. Quote
wayfarerstranger Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 REG YOU have the luck of the IRISH !!! CHANCE Quote

woodscavenger Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Reg, how many would that make for you? You know they have treatment programs for guys like you..... Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 sounds to me like Reg is about to get his weekly fix...strung out like a junkie.. Quote
Don Coatney Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 I paid Reg a visit a while back and observed his collection. Like buying a new puter my old observations of his collection are obsolete now. I really dont think Reg was ever a contractor. I think he laundered his old Mopar habit funds pretending to be a contractor. Quote
Reg Evans Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 You guys are funny ! Woodscavenger.......I had 5 around here up until a year or so ago. I had to turn the tide from buying to selling. Down to only 2 now. Tim..........Nuh Uh !.....oh wait, I may be in denial. Hey....have you kicked the bondo sniffing habit yet? The Don.........What can I say....I'veah beenah madeah....Now I'mah gonnah have to have Vito pay you a littleah visit. That was suppose to be an italian accent. Quote

Reg Evans Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 It looks like Glendale is up. I was mostly interested because of the newer interior mentioned. The interior does look nice in the photos but I want to keep mine closer to the stock colors ( brown and tan). Thanks Bob for a great offer but I'd better pass. Man.....I can't believe I just said that. What is happening to me? Quote

Reg Evans Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Glendale, The photos don't work any more for me either. I just got off the phone with Bob Riding and I told him I was going to pass on the offer. He's out of town and away from his computer right now but he told me that Charlie Akers ( Olddaddy on the forum ) was next up because he PM'd Bob right after I called dibs on it. Please don't shoot the messenger . I think You're next in line right after Charlie though . Quote
glendale Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 i'll trade charlie for a rack and pinion kit for my car;). i may be buying another house and the wife would probably be upset with me. i would still go get it though if charlie passes. i want a wagon super bad. Quote
Reg Evans Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Here's one I'm gonna sell for $850. It comes with a NOS rear fender to replace the torn up one. The engine is stuck and it needs a total restoration. I have another P23 engine for it for $200. Ran when pulled. I'll tell your wife I gave it to you. Quote
Reg Evans Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Youbetcha. For gas, lodging and meals. I figure 2 weeks there and two back should do it. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Reg still has his rose colored contractor glasses on I see..... Quote
