I really am a youngin...

I've got a 08 kawasaki zzr600

Yeah its a rice rocket but I'm safe and use it for commuting

I did have an old yamaha maxim I turned into a cafe racer but had to sell it

My former employer had a beautiful norton that was completely restored and rode it all the time...I always wanted to ride that bike

Sorry to hear you couldn't hang on to the bike, but you can always get another. Best of luck on the paint job!

Just sold my Sportster and I'm sad to see it go. Getting the '51 done and getting

the '67 Barracuda closer to done with the proceeds should help ease my pain though, right?

Got the street tires on in this pic.

Harleys? if I wanted to go slow, turn slow and stop slow I'd ride a Harley! With DR Z nothing is better than a second gear power wheelie in the dirt! Love to see a Harley do a stoopie. ;) Just starting my second round of upgrades to take it out to the upper 40s HP range. We actually have some pretty nice off road parks in the local mountains and it makes my 7 minute work commute a lot more fun.

same could be said about my all stock 1951 Plymouth. But Harley's aren't slow at all to say the least. ;)

Ya know I had to google "stoopie", sounds like the word stupid and rhymes with something else. Talking about stunts, what bike did Evil Knievel use primarily? That's right, a Harley Davidson Sportster. Anyways, if you're really into that stoopie thing, here's a link of a guy doing it very well on a Harley:

Enjoy!

Mmmm modern DR trailly. Wish I had one.

I use to have one of the first DR models they bought out in 1980. Not a lot of power but it just kept going and going and going.

Just having some fun with you hog guys! That guy certainly knows the BP on that bike! Check out the Ducati Hypermotard:

The down speed tight circle wheelies are pretty impressive.

Did somebody mention handling the bike?

Flatie46, I agree. It's best of the sportster models. And the rarest also. Mine is not the twoplug version, that came the year after. Otherwise the same bike, people on HD forums say that adding the second plug didn't bring any oomph but I don't know.

This guy must be sponsored by a tire company. I wouldn't be able to afford a new tire for every performance. I must say... those guys have incredible control and balance.

I don't think my bike could handle that. ;)

I know nobody requested, but still I'm going to post another pic of my sporty. Before our summer the plan is to lower it, change into dragbar, chop the rear fender with different taillight setup, add more chrome and paint into new colors. The existing color is spotless, so I ordered new set of tin from States and will modify them, thus keeping the originals at shelves just in case

No pictures but I do have 15000 mile 78 kz650 in the garage. Last year I rode it about 40 miles. Guess I will run the gas out in the snowblower. Would like to ride more but I don't care to ride alone. My riding buddy lost his job ad sold his bike. I keep it registered and insured just in case though.

Just heard on yesterday's news that H/D is going to be laying people off as inventory is building to unacceptable levels.

I heard a on the radio that you could trade in an '07,08 or 09 sportster on a big twin and they would give you what you paid for it. Harley has had record sales since the mid 80's. I know they throttled production to keep the prices up I guess thats business in the big leages.Hate to see them layin off I'd trade my 92 ultra classic in if things were better at work.

I just sold my 1998 Honda Valkyrie tourer this past fall. Too dangerous to ride around here anymore (central CT). So part of the money from the sale went into buying my P-15 and part of it went towards getting my 55 caddy back on the road. I figured putting the money and effort into old cars and trucks is a heck of a lot safer, and I can avoid becoming road pizza because some little girl talking on her cell phone pulled out in front of me.

I know lots of guys really enjoy riding the bikes, of all types and sizes.

For some reason I've never been particularly interested in owning one.

My saying was that I'd rather have an old car than a new cycle any day.

So, I've owned the Plymouth since 1973 and had some fun with it...along

with a few other oldie Mopars. I guess it would be a pretty dull place if

everybody liked the exact same things. :)

Besides Bob since you have a convert you still get to enjoy the wind. I'd rather have a convert over a bike any day

True, Ed. You can get windburn and sunburn with the top down, just like

on a bike. And I can also wave with my left hand.

No leather jacket or chaps needed.
