RobertKB
Dodgeb4ya, what a gorgeous car. I love the colour! I bet when you bought it people said, "Are you crazy paying that much for an old car?" Bet now you wish you could have bought ten at that price. Dodgeb4ya
When I was about 12 years old I saw a T&C on the I-5 freeway and thought what a weird looking car! Then years later I ended up working on an old mans Chrysler car collection helping him keep all his old Chryslers running and he offered this car to me. I was 26 at the time and $8000.00 was a huge amount of money. He told me it was a good investment. He was correct --but if I don`t sell it it`s worth nothing. Hopefully I can be buried in it! I also bought a 1950 hardtop from him and also a 1950 Royal woodie wagon from another person in the early 80's. The convertible is painted "'Noel" green- an optional medium metallic factory color. Frank Elder
This thread was originaly about smelly glass and plastic bodied cars, but I sure love where it wandered to . Thank you Merle! Oh by the way the missus and I are making a trip to the Dells next summer, should be a lot of fun. Especialy fatman's misery. 1970's since I've been there! Used to have the little green hand pumps to drink water at the rest areas. Sure would'nt mind a little coffee with anyone who's interested. Frankie Maybe by next summer Lake Delton will be a Lake again. If you missed it, the flooding we had earlier this summer caused an earthen dam to be washed out and Lake Delton emptied into the Wisconsin River. This really hurt the Wisconsin Dells area tourism this summer as many of the resorts were on the shores of Lake Delton. Also the Tommy Bartlet water skiing shows had to be canceled since there wasn't a lake to ski in. Let us know when your coming. I'm a couple hours away from there, but might be up for a road trip. Young Ed
This thread prompted me to upload the pictures from the WPC national that was here. However upon doing that I discovered I didnt take any pictures of the woodies. Oh well here's the ones I did take to enjoy. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v172/dodgepu1946/WPC%20national/
Frank Elder
Bummer ! Could be we should investigate a little more when picking a destination. The main part of the journey was to see relatives in Barneville and Dodgeville. Uncle Arneson probably would have let us go just to see the look on our faces when we returned! Will keep you posted Merle. Frankie

Merle Hey Merle, one of my good Buddies from work was telling me about that lake, he was there this summer for a big basketball tournament his kid was playing in. He couldn't believe what it looked like dry, man I hope it fills up again.....Fred
Merle Coggins
They had a story on the news last night. They are working on rebuilding the dam / road that got washed out. They hope to have it completed by December. Then hopefully the lake will be refilled by next summer. Lake Delton was / is a man made lake. Once they plug the hole in the dike it should refill it's self again. Merle
