  1. Andy and RoadKing, Here are some pictures of the N clips. I hope they help. The clips are just under 1/2" (31/64) high and 7/8" wide. I have 40 of them so there should be enough for you both. Let me know. Harold
  2. It's about time they wised-up!
  3. I'll measure the 'N' clips tonight after work and provide the dimensions.

  7. I have several hundred unused trim clips that were in the trunk of a Cranbrook I bought over 30 years ago. Based on other stuff that was in the car, the previous owner had connections to a Mopar dealer so I think these all fit Chrysler products of some kind. The only hitch is that I don't know what cars they are for. Here's my plan: With the help of the many knowlegeable folks here, get as many clips identified as possible. Sell them reasonably to other forum members, and donate 10% of the selling price for any sold between now and January 1, 2013 to the forum. I do not want to do a bulk sale to any re-sellers that may be lurking here. My goal is to get the clips into the hands of those that need them, raise a few bucks for the forum, and get some lunch money for myself. The clips themselves have some degree of surface rust and dirt on them, but are all solid and usable. There are no nuts or washers with them. I've labeled each one with a letter for i.d. purposes. I'll listen to what 'reasonable price' means from those of you who have some experience in that direction. Thanks in advance to everyone for their assistance. Harold
  8. Nice find! Depending on the damage, it may be worthwhile to speak with a Paintless Dent Removal service to see how they can help.
  9. It could be sticking points in the voltage regulator. Try whacking the regulator with the palm of your hand to see if that makes it show charging on the ammeter.
  10. We lost power about 8:30 Monday night and got it back about a half hour ago. we were pretty lucky and only lost some roof shingles and one gable vent (brittle plastic) blew out (which we fixed with plexiglass for the time being). We have pipe gas so could cook and take hot showers. My office is in Keasbey (right near Dan Hiebert's in-laws) and the building still doesn't have internet (it took till yesterday for light and water) so the VP said to stay home until Monday. Now that i have power again, I'll answer as many emails as i can for the afternoon.
  11. Looks excellent. If you were in the United States, I'd send my business coupe to you!
  12. There has been wind and rain all day but nothing too drastic yet. They're calling for landfall around Toms River NJ (about 20 miles south of here) by about 8 PM tonight. We had a couple of flickering episodes but the lights came right back on.
  13. I'd go with orange. The shiny hubcap and the black tire would contrast nicely with that color.
  14. The bottom one may be a roll-up window channel retaining clip from one of the doors.
  15. One more thing to look at if you still have a low pedal is the wheel cylinder links that push the shoes. Some have deeper slots than others causing greater piston travel giving a lower pedal.
  16. I've seen that heater on a number of cars. It's an aftermarket model that must have been pretty popular back in the day.
  17. I wonder where the stampings are being made....
  18. Isn't it amazing how many old cars are still out there??
  19. We're in Freehold, about 10 miles inland from the Jersey shore. All indications are that it will be a rough storm. The school district has already announced that schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday. We went shopping Thursday night and stocked-up on the essentials. Today we moved the outdoor stuff into the garage. Our biggest concern is loss of electricity.
  20. Try asking the shop teachers at your local automotive high school. They might have a lead or two for you.
  21. What town was this in?
  22. You might be able to find bulk glass gasket material at an auto body supply house.
  23. There are a couple of pick-n-pull yards in Morrisville PA (just across from Trenton) if you want to go browsing with a tape measure.
  24. Bob, Good to hear you're out and about. Harold
  25. One more place to look for body shops....ask local used-car lots who does their work.
