  1. Are the original mirrors like the one[swan neck]on the suede black d-24 rare? Expensive?
  2. The merger has stalled this morning, GM and Chrysler have broken off talks for now.
  3. Looked at your website Harold, 15" 53 dodge is a beautiful hub cap!
  4. Don't forget your BFR, you need some thing to drown out the!@#$%^while your knuckles are bleeding, and your mind is speeding!
  5. No wonder we think alike mi amigo, for I was lucky enough to marry a Martinez. Adios Senor Garcia
  6. IF you are determined to use this tach, which is way cool, buy a 6-volt tach and use the guts in your tach. Probably easier said than done I suppose.
  7. Get the wiring schematic from the appropriate service manual not EZ
  8. 10-4 Good buddy! Wire by stinking oily corroded greasy brittle crumbly wire. Small vent, felt wonderful! Mack I took the easy way out[read too expensive] and ordered a custom original specs wiring harness from Y n Z's YESTERDAY'S PARTS. 333 East Stuart Ave.,Unit A Redlands, Ca. 92374 1-909-798-1498 They sent detailed instructions and chatted me up on the telephonio more than ANY other cutomer sevice ever has, down to even the most inconsequential question I had. The only problem I had with the entire harness was their schematic did not show the black wire from the starter to the Sisson choke. That has now been amended by yours truly and they sent the offending length of wire with correct connections already soldered on. [for free] I can not stress enough, get your schematic before you get in too deep, it will reassure you and keep you from giving up. What are you wiring should have been my first question!
  9. A good schematic for your car would go a long way to help completion of your task. It would also tell you what your unlabeled switches are. If you don't know how to solder, that is one skill you should aquire, crimp on connections can come loose and cause you headaches down the road. I just rewired my car this spring and it was my first time. Eventually ended up taking out the front and back seats just to not cramp up! My service manual was invaluable, I don't think it would have been successful without it.
  10. Just check under new posts, I never used this part of the forum before Tim. Tell me again how to use this forums photo setup again, I promise to write it down. Now that I am logged in I think I can get permission to access it.
  11. Esmey gets mad at me when I refuse to use the self checkout line at any store! IF I WANTED TO WORK HERE THEN I WOULD HAVE PUT IN AN APPLICATION. She thinks I'm throwing a fit when all I'm doing is trying to be is a customer, not a volunteer employee. Frankie PS Alway leave a park cleaner than you found it, it's just the right thing to do.
  12. According to my owners manual this is the order of my controls from left to right; 1. Throttle 2. Headlights 3. Heat Temp. 4. Defrost 5. Heater Fan 6. Lighter All with brown knobs would be correct, right? I have installed; 1. Throttle 2. Headlights 3. Defrost White knob black lettering 4. Heater Fan White 5. Defrost White 6. Lighter Am I correct in assuming that these knobs are not only in the wrong order, but not stock to a 47 dodge cc? What car do white knobs belong on, and who need's them? They are 7/8 across the face beveled circumference. Mine are 1 inch across smooth with ribbed sides. Have fun people! Frankie
  13. On Esmey's 07 Cobalt the icon has a gas handle and a triangle pointing to the passenger's side. Viola, it's on the passengers side! Frankie
  14. This thread was originaly about smelly glass and plastic bodied cars, but I sure love where it wandered to . Thank you Merle! Oh by the way the missus and I are making a trip to the Dells next summer, should be a lot of fun. Especialy fatman's misery. 1970's since I've been there! Used to have the little green hand pumps to drink water at the rest areas. Sure would'nt mind a little coffee with anyone who's interested. Frankie
  15. Gosh dang it Bob, you just made me use proper Irish! Kudos to you for honoring your heritage, my mother's maiden name was Tannehill. Unless you are Padrigh's pig you can't get more Irish than that! Ard Righ, Frankie
  16. Have had good luck with McMaster carr. Give them a shout. Frankie
  17. Mackster beat me to it but I echo his sentiments! Permission to cross the quarterdeck, and may fair winds be at your back. You will enjoy this forum immensely and learn at the same time. I'm not as savvy as some but will help when I can. Frankie
  18. Plymouth only right? I know my dodge has studs 1947. Frankie
  19. Rodney, I have 15 grandbabies and everyone of them are precious to me. But when I go to a swap meet or auto show I leave them with their parents. Not because I don't love them or want to give them the appreciation of antique automobiles but becauseI don't think I can control the situation enough. The teenagers do what they want, no matter what and the little ones are oblivious. Maybe when they decide to become interested, I can cultivate their intrests in old iron. I share your pain. It reminds me of an old beer joint I used to go to . If you were under 21 you were not served, if over, and you had childeren with you, you were not served. Not pop or water because it was not a daycare center. Frankie
  20. The actor who played English Bob in Unforgiven was Richard Harris, he also played the title role in A Man Called Horse, back in the 70's. Frankie
  21. Don,how do you know this? Frankie
  22. Your welcome Fred! I'll bet it was in better shape than you expected. I smelled that kind of cologne when I was a child on my grandfather, sure were some of the best days of my life. Frankie
  23. Found spots and fogs[unity] on www.kanter.com but they seemed a little pricey for me. They also had custom fog light covers with dodge printed on them, shiney chrome with black lettering. Could'nt seem to find the right unity website tho. Frankie
  24. 1980's extended dodge vans were used as a cargo/passenger hauler in the navy. The single exhaust came over the axle and exited behind the drivers side rear wheel DIRECTLY under the gas filler neck door with about 2 to 3 inches of hot exhaust pipe just waiting to be spilled upon. I love Mother Mopar as much as the rest of you but, what the !@#$%^& were the engineers smoking? Frankie
  25. Previous owner-PO Frankie
