  1. We've had the antenna and pillar switch discussion, so we might as well delve into the night! Fog lites....Factory or dealer installed option? If factory where is the standard placement for the switch? Dealer installed, how many different placements have you found? Frankie
  2. I have quite a bit of brand new 6-volt wiring that is left over from rewiring the coupe, solder on some old school connectors, and it might even look dealer installed! Frankie
  3. I suppose a 6-volt workable spot is just a pipe dream. Frankie
  4. www.restorationstuff.com has water pump grease, but I would like to hear what type lube you use Ed. Frankie
  5. 6 pack attack! That would be a truly monumental undertaking, A Y-pipe into each intake port would do the trick I suppose. Size of carbs and manufacture of workable linkage would be the limiting factors. With stacks it would almost look like a single bank of hillborns...hmmm..hillborns even better, duz anyone smell burning, my head hurt bad! Frankie
  6. In Nebraska that yom plate is the only plate you are required to display once you have registered it. It also is the last plate you will ever have on that car. Like buying an antique plate from the state. Frankie
  7. Half the fun is opening the box! Frankie
  8. Lower horsepower at the wheels is due to the parasitic drag from the tranny. Right? Frankie
  9. FWIW? Did you mean FYI for your information or is this a term on the internet? Frankie
  10. LEDS are not supposed to function correctly with a stock flasher, to much resistance to overcome I believe. Frankie
  11. I hear some flak about the "goodguys" do they have Bad practices? Favoritism etc? Frankie
  12. can you run on a 230? The dual setup seems prevelant, but I have seen 3. Vintage has adaptors to hook up 2 carbs to a single intake manifold. For an exotic look could you run 4 carbs on a 2 carb intake with these adaptors? It would look funky but would it run? Nobody wants to drown their motor for the sake of looks I hope! Frankie
  13. Yeah but the mailman can't take it farther than the end of the driveway! Or mail it to Arizona! Frankie
  14. You are correct Don Corleone, I mean Mr. Coatney! HAHAHA!
  15. Also no pop-out button on drivers side! Tim....OH TIM, does your town sedan have extra pop-out buttons on the other 3 doors? It has different options than the rest it seems. Fred how about chryslers? Frankie
  16. Both my 46 desoto coupe and 47 dodge coupe, 48 dodge more door have LEFT side switches an looms to the trunk. Frankie PS Sorry the other right side!
  17. This is like the antenna thread, did they put them in where the mechanic on the line preferred or did they just have different wire looms at different plants? Or did it change from model to model or year to year? Frankie
  18. Thank you Mr. Don ! Frankie
  19. Whatever you decide on I would not recommend using Mr. Russell from Hemmings, he has everything, but thinks it is made of gold. He would not stop leaving messages or sending materiel even after I declined to buy ONE PLATE AND METAL TAG from him. He only wanted $300.00! Swap meets are more fun and the seller usually has good connections with a competent restorer. Have a wonderful Sunday, FRANKIE47
  20. Quick question, I had a 73 charger not too long ago with cyclone headers and thrush cannister style through mufflers. NO pipe after the header mufflers. Deceleration was always accompanied by loud burbling and backfires, sometimes the backfire was so big it would light up the ditch on both sides of the road at nite! Lack of pipes? FRANKIE47
  21. You should chase the threads if you are not going to buy new hardware. I personaly would not use a wire wheel or any other abrasive method to clean old bolts however, it pays to use the correct die so the threads are not comprimised by overzealous application of wire wheel. That way when the next round of assembly/disassembly comes your way everythingwill be less difficult. Note, I did not say perfect..LOL! FRANKIE47
  22. quite a few beautiful cars at the detroit show, the most common option I spotted from your pictures was the old codgers sitting in the driver's seat! GO CODGERS GO!!!!!! Such a awesome change from all the younglings driving around omaha in their "TUNER" cars acting like they are driving something special. Was this an all plymouth meet...poc... or were there other brands there? FRANKIE47
  23. D-24 pillar switch is on the drivers side. Just one more difference between Dodge and Plymouth designs. FRANKIE47
  24. Thank you sir! Some very good reading indeed. FRANKIE47
  25. $2.95 in Council Bluffs, Iowa this morning. FRANKIE47
