  1. Your "neighbours" gives you away. eh?
  2. Even a bent tailpipe will do that. Or a potato in the end of it.
  3. You are right, you should have bought it. I think mine cost a touch less than that, but they're not making them anymore, so get one if you can. Mine was in about that shape or a little worse, but some paint and MetalFoil and its as good as its gonna get.
  4. I have that tool made by OTC in Wisconsin, and an exact copy of it made in Taiwan. The OTC did not pop the drum off easily, and the Taiwanese tool just quietly broke the first time I tried to use it. It was amazing how exact a copy it was, just cheap metal.
  5. I have a picture of my son removing a water distribution tube from a 218 with a Leatherman tool. Since them, I have had one in my glove box.
  6. I think that I would work on coating the gasket, including the edges with something that would keep the gas from being absorbed and weeping thru the material itself. Possibly coating the entire gasket, top, bottom, and edges with a silicon sealer like RTV and let it harden good before installing it. If you have a carb rebuild kit, there may be gaskets of different materials you could try. I tried using two gaskets stacked and it made the leak worse. Good luck, and please let us know if you find a cure.
  7. Duh,,,,,,,,,,, why would anybody eat golf balls anyway? I ain't worried about my toilet's ability to dispose of golf balls, it has another job. Sometimes much bigger than a golf ball.
  8. Check the float level to make sure its not too high. Take the top off and put it on a known flat surface to make sure its perfectly flat. If not, rub it around on a sheet of fine sandpaper to level it out. Coat the gasket with silicon sealer and let it harden so it becomes solid and the gas can't seep through it. Or, just clean off the carb once in a while.
  9. Not being adventuresome, I vote for white.
  10. When you put a wheel and tire on, check the inner sidewall clearance of that brake hose bracket. For some reason I had to move them on my car when I put on fatter, 205/75 tires and they hit.
  11. Page 6, post 208
  12. I want to say that the crank gear doesn't have a mark on it since the key determines where it sits. Its more a matter of aligning the cam gear mark with the center line of the shafts. I think.
  13. Probing the memory says, Put the crank keyway at 3:00, and imagine a diagonal straight line thru the center of the cam to the edge where the cam gear mark is, and then to the center of the crank. Anyone?? Help??
  14. Same thing.
  15. Well, due to the generosity of a member, Chance Moore, I picked up a pair of rear springs at his home near Nashville, Tennesse. I'm in the middle of changing them now, got one side on, tomorrows another day. Five of nine leaves were broken, some in several pieces. So, another adventure in Paradise. So far, no blood.
  16. Looks like a lot of fun down the road for you. Good lookin boy!
  17. That was mee. 2000 Mitsu Galant rotor fit the wheel bolt pattern is the same. Thats as far as I got because my son and daughter-in-law are still driving it. They won't let me take the brakes off of it. Yet.
  18. Beautiful. Waiting for part 2.
  19. His guest book has reach 65 pages as of 7PM CDST. Some of the signers are quite interesting.
  20. No, I'm not. I am sure you would be happy to see the place. Its real England, not the tourist version, and the people are as friendly as they can be. I spose I could do a commercial for York tourism. Its a most likeable place.
  21. There's a Chrysler airflow taxi in the Railway museum. The most fascinating triangular diesel engine also. Napier Deltic. If you get bored in York, its because you are dead.
  22. Jorvik and the Castle Museum. You can walk to every thing. God, I love York.
  23. I had the great pleasure of visiting York twice for a week each time. I cannot imagine a better place to tour. I couldn't see it all in two weeks. I absolutely love the place. The museums, the minsteris aweinspiring, even Clifford's tower was pretty cool. The old St. Mary's and the shambles, Geez, I could go on forever. Stayed at a place called The Apple House just out side Micklegate. Man, do I want to go back.. Oh, and the National Railway Museum!!
  24. Minnesota, Wisconsin, they both have excellent highways. Their county roads are like Indiana's state highways!
  25. Congratulations to them! A clever way to remember their wedding anniversary.
