  1. Wow, I'm gonna use that!
  2. "Oh, the fun you're going to have." Dr.Seuss. That's a fine looking car you've got there. Take care of it and it will take care of you.
  3. Turn the cable counterclockwise at the transmission end.
  4. Jack up the car and spin each wheel slowly to check for a bent wheel.
  5. I'm not sure about that. I keep doing stupid stuff and yet I'm not self-correcting.
  6. Nice how the colors agree in that picture. Pretty little car there. Nice picture.
  7. What Frank said. Been doing it since 1994, still works.
  8. Hahaha, in those rare events, just push start it. A few of those and you'll remember to turn the lights off!
  9. Determine if the vibration is in the front or the rear, Does the steering wheel shake or does the seat vibrate? Whichever end you think likely, take those two tires and move each one 180 degrees on the wheel and dynamic balance them again. If that doesn't do it, check for excessive wheel runout.
  10. I strongly believe that you are trying to fix something that isn't broken. You can tinker all you want, but it probably won't work any better than it is now.
  11. 1963 and I have 55 Buick. Parked in a less than friendly neighborhood, car won't start. Acts like dead battery, but all the lights and radio work. The starter switch is on the carb, activated by stepping on the gas, but nothing happened. I disassembled and reassembled it three times before putting the shift lever in park. Started right up.
  12. The amp meter is working correctly, showing you that the generator and regulator are functioning correctly. The voltage regulator could be adjusted to raise the output a bit, but since it keeps the battery charged there is no need to tinker with it. Its fine, enjoy it.
  13. Yep, that's how you lock the front doors from the inside, rotate the handle the opposite of open. Clever, eh?
  14. Hmmmm. My trunk key is diamond head and also works th glove box lock. Ignition key is octagonal and works the doors also. This was true of three 48's, a 53, and a 55 I owned.
  15. Some people work crossword puzzles, some collect stamps, some work on cars. He won't go crazy working on his credit, but he's probably happier than if he did nothing.
  16. Nice picture, Bob, nothing like following that little chrome ship to see where it takes you.
  17. Thanks, Those are great to take to a swap meet!
  18. The negative side of the coil or the ignition switch. Use your volt meter or a test light to find the terminal that is hot only with the key on.
  19. Could be the elusive 1950 Rolls-Kinardly.
  20. I don't know one Volvo from another, it was just a guess that sounded good to me. How 'bout this, a 1948 GAZ.
  21. That's a beauty alright !
  22. That's a good idea. I'll bet there's a drug for most anything.
  23. It wasn't easy.
  24. Volvo p-40 ?
  25. Cooper IS your gps. Great Pooch Sighter. Chief wingman.
