  1. The car, not me.
  2. Paint your springs or you will have this happen 60 years from now.
  3. It'll be a little while before I will be fooling with that table saw again. Also, many pushsticks will be employed. "Experience keeps a dear school, but fools will learn in no other."
  4. They don't want you stuffing your pockets and carrying them out.
  5. Indeed, Joe. Thats what it means, they slide right through. Sometimes quicker than others. I've been to three different Five Guys. Way more greasy food than anyone needs. But I describe them as the kind of burger I would make for myself, if I could cook. They are very proud that their potatoes are real Idaho potatoes. Finest kind.
  6. Check today's news about Andrew LLoyd Webber. Same thing and the prognosis is what you're looking for.
  7. I like everything about the clips except the words "table saw".
  8. Maybe you could clear laquer it and keep the bare metal look without the rust?
  9. How would that look glued to the kick panels?
  10. Yes Norm, I know zackly where it is at the corner of US 30 and Indiana 53. Thats about 5 miles from me. However, they built one not a half mile from my house at the corner of US 6 and Ind. 51 about five years ago. But, due to an unfortunate experience at a White Castle in Bloomington, Indiana, I have not had one since about 1988.
  11. Is it possible to lust after a car? Because I think I am.
  12. TV this morning showed the Texas state fair where they were serving deep-fried butter sticks!
  13. Put it in neutral and pull it over with the fan.
  14. I wondered about that too. It seems the labor charges are about right for the time, but the parts prices are kind of steep. $100 for a radio? At any rate, those are very nice papers. I did save them, maybe blow them up and print them? Thanks for posting them.
  15. Since no one else mentioned, I must. When I first read title of this thread, I thought someone was trying to contact me. But who? So many people have called "old screw up" that I couldn't guess.
  16. Same thing here in Indiana, Tires MUST be covered. Following something like that in the winter is a real pain.
  17. These are in a toy diorama in the Indianapolis Childrens museum. Nice '56.
  18. I love that Buick, but Dorothy is really a beauty!
  19. Coming along nicely, but quite tender and touchy. Thanks for asking.
  20. No, the carpet was me using what I had laying around. It was scraps from the floor which was supposed to be rubber mat.
  21. Thanks norm, I'll go redo mine now. I covered them with carpet matching the floor and only glued them to the backng panels. I have the grommets but never thought of using them. Great idea.
  22. There are little pointy things along the door edge of the kick panel that you put the windlace under. Line it up with the edge of the door opening and bend the little point things down to trap the windlace.
  23. I got mine from JCWhitney because it matched the headliner of theirs and it wasn't real expensive.
  24. Its good to hear that you can handle that sort of thing and come out of it so fast. Take it easy and enjoy the down time.
  25. Its more of a sound than an actual drag. Listen for the swishing sound, it wort be enough to make the wheel slow down and stop, just enough to let you know that the shoes are out there next to the drums. Adjust by ear instead of feel.
