  1. Well, once again I am green with envy. That's some beautiful work. It makes one great looking car.
  2. I just looked outside myself and saw quite a few flakes,,,,, or were you talking about snow?
  3. Indeed, its in better shape than my p-15 was when I got it. Scrapping it would be a crime, I agree. One of these days when I hit the lottery I will have an "old plymouth home" for just such vehicles as this.
  4. May have been your guardian angel that did the stopping, since your brakes were marginal at best.
  5. I'm sorry you have to make that trip. But, if you go to the drug store and tell the pharmacist your situation, I am sure they will sell you some cheap relief in pill form.
  6. Are you refering to the possible three trunkloads of boies in a row?

Don't worry Ralph, it says Guru by my name but everybody knows better than to believe it.
  8. I suppose if it were in Canada it would say "chick-fil, eh?"
  9. I'm sorry you have do that. I feel bad for you.
  10. I would have given a lot of money for an exceptionally nice P-15 like that. Then to have it totally screwed up by a bunch of jerks with more money than brains,,,,,,,,,,,,, Sorry, thats how I feel. On second thought, i'm not sorry at all.
  11. Daily driver for 3 years and he doesn't know if it has A/C ???
  12. In the late 50's I had the pleasure of owning a 1950 Nash Ambassador Custom. The top of the line. What a boat. I would say that as a cruiser there is nothing better from the 50's, it practically steered itself. Comfy? Woo-hoo. At a drive in movie, you fold the seat down, pull out the center armrest and sit in the rear. Ashtray at your side. Easy to fall asleep. Woe unto those who have to parallel park one of those things. Visibility throug those little windows is the absolute worst. adusting of snow or even dirt and the rear window is useless. OHV Continental in-line 6 that ran as smooth as anything I've ever had. Hydra-matic trans, Zenith radio, and that Instrument cluster pod sitting on top of the steeriing column. It wasn't bad enough that mine was a 4door, it was also snow white, so it was know around town as "the bathtub". Only once was I caught with a girl parked in the woods. (We were later married.) A friend from school had a Nash like mine except it was a cheap one with a flathead 6 and 3 speed/ overdrive. We raced on 5th avenue and no one could ever tell, except there was more than usual burned oil smoke! Yeah, they're a neat car to see at a show, but own one again? Hmmm, good question. Somewhere I have a couple pictures of it, I oughtta dig those up.
  13. Greg, I am going to have to wait until later in the day to read your posts when I am more awake. You done confused me back to bed!
  14. I once asker for some pink lemonade in a Chinese restaurant in cheyenne Wyoming. The waitress said "We don't have that. Only little girls drink that". I trusted that is was in good fun and we all had a good laugh about it. We were snowed in at a hotel there and decided to return the next day for lunch. She did remember us and we had a good time chuckling about her.
  15. If y'all are lookin for somebody to jive on, try this. I'm 66 years old and cannot tell you what beer tastes like since I have never tasted it. I grew up 3 doors from a tarvern, and I know what it smells like, and I find the odor rather unpleasant. Unleash your comments.
  16. That e-bay part is on a Chrysler, so it will not fit a P-15.
  17. If you have a fireplace, you might use it to help start a fire. Just don't be a Homer Simpson about it.
  18. The Zippo car is a fairly new reproduction as the original was lost long ago.
  19. Aye, thats a pretty piece of casting you've got there. It'd be a shame to get it dirty.
  20. Since its mounted on the exhaust manifold, why not just drill it out and tap a new threads in the hole. Replace the old bolt with a new 1/4-20 screw and you're done. Shavings will go out the tailpipe.
  21. It's been several years ago, but I got my headliner and matching windlace from Whiney's and I am still very happy with it. It was quite easy to install with the instrucions they sent and looks very good. Fit is perfect, they sent extra for the sunvisors and the center pillar pieces were already attached. Also they sent a headliner for a 4 door the first time and I returned it for the right one without a problem.
  22. Doc, thanks for relieving the tension. Such a mensch you are.
  23. Randroid, I didn't mean in any way to infer that you were not being cautious. I am sorry if I gave that impression, i really didn't mean it that way. I know I am just turning into a curmudgeon. When I read my post I immediately heard it in my Dad's voice. Geez. But still, knowing me, a reminder isn't a bad thing. I guess its because I have done so many stupid things on bad roads that could have been prevented simply by slowing down some.
  24. The scary thing is the fact that now you have used up your lucky break for this winter. From now on you have to be doubly alert and careful. We've had enough bad news on this forum to last us a long time. Everybody out there, learn from this, SLOW DOWN.
  25. I see, the 12 volts is used to power the fan that blows the generator the powers the light. Yeah, makes sense now.
