A rubber o-ring from the plumbing dept. at the hardware store will work perfectly.

A "poly" engine has a polyspherical combustion chamber, while a "hemi" emgine has, guess what, a hemispherical combustion chamber.

If you pause the movie when the camera first passes over the front bumper, you can see that the plate clearly says California at the top.

I just think I may have gone a little too far there. I can see how that would be offensive to some, and I don't mean just Scots. There are ladies here, too.

I kinda wonder if the brass thing is there to take up the extra space in that long nut. Maybe its there only because the cable supplier used the deep nut. Will it come off? If it does, could you use the regular shallow nut?

Use a piece of 12 or 14 guage wire with alligator clips on the ends so you can just swat them off if you need to stop the engine in a hurry. Connect the wire to the negative battery terminal and the negative terminal of the coil. Touch the end of the negative battery cable to the starter terminal, and keep your hands away from the fan blades.

Thats another one of those things that make me uneasy. Fourty years ago, when I started work at the mill, A maintenance man I worked with wanted to sell me one just like that in light blue, He wanted $1500. That was in 1963 and I didn't have it. Its a real dreamboat.

I don't know if it really makes any difference in cleaning, but in this kind of weather, 10-30 degrees, I seem to have less of a flooding problem. I think its because the oil in the cleaner is stiff and has a little choke effect. Or not. I do know that when I take the cleaner off and set it on the floor, it doesn't spill oil on the floor when I kick it over.

Looks like you have a good solid start to a great project. I have a soft spot for 53's. That has great possibilities. Questions answered here, no charge.
