  1. It sounds like your gas tank is not vented. Check your cap.
  2. Yikes! All that work for nought.
  3. Yikes !! Look where the handle of the clamp is laying !
  4. At $45/hr, you should jump on the offer. That way, whatever it takes gets done and you get to stay standing up. Can't beat that.
  5. Mine has plenty of leaks, but I don't call it that. The old thing is just marking its territory.
  6. IMHO, if the engine hasn't been running for a while, and oil is leaking from it, the pan must have a hole in it. All the oil drains to the pan, so it can't be coming from anywhere else. Well, unless you have an oil filter, which I don't, but then it would be pretty obvious where it was coming from.
  7. Choke and throttle mean the same thing when your hands are around someone's neck. Will not cause flooding, though.
  8. If I remember right, from 50 years ago, when you change the oil, you put in five quarts. When you change the oil AND the filter, you put in six quarts. It's making my head hurt.
  9. Might as well throw this one out there too, choke and throttle mean the same thing, but we have one of each.
  10. Thats the electric choke mounted on the top of the manifold.
  11. Tyler, where are you? Sometimes help is close.
  12. Wash your hands before you eat.
  13. `Me too. Thats why I keep coming back.
  14. Yet another Town Sedan!
  15. Do I smell a law suit?
  16. Thats cool, I always thought anti-freeze was way too sweet anyway. I've also heard of using raw eggs and even oatmeal. Hm,,,, Prestone soup?
  17. Y'all are just havin too much fun.
  18. Hey, 50 Deluxe, did I see you lurking in my front shrubs last fall? There is a German store on west Washington street in Indianapolis that sold a gnome on his back with a knife in him. It was hilarious.
  19. A cracked brake drum is not out of the question. It would cause quite a pulse, and since it was coincidental with the sound, I would check all the drums for a radial crack.
  20. According to Don Butlers "Plymouth and DeSoto History", Plymouth P-15's became 1949 models on December 1, 1948. The second series, P-17 wasn't available until early March 1949. So, if you have a model P-15, buy parts for a 46-48.
  21. Thanks Don, I'm gonna give it a shot.
  22. Well, here's the thing. I didn't see any of the games because, well, I just don't care that much. It's just that "O Canada" is such a great national anthem, and to see so many people singing together and in the best of spirits of camraderie, it was just so beautiful and I found it quite moving. Being the home team also helped. Some good kids did a good thing in front of the world and their fans joined them in celebrating.
  23. Don, when you did the second tightening, did you do it with a hot engine or did you wait until it cooled down?
  24. Aye, it ain't easy, but if you're good, you can do it.
  25. Didja ask her if SHE wanted to run the torch?
