  1. Not having been there when you took it apart, its a guessing game. My guess, the bulb goes behind the retaining ring, then the trim ring, (door), goes on last. Free advice, worth only what you paid for it.
  2. The visor seems to add a sporty touch to a very classy looking car. You should feel like a million bucks driving that around.
  3. The windshield they have grafted in there looks to be from a about a 52 Chevy or Pontiac. Its curved glass and most likely a one-piece unit. Those people can keep a car on the road for $0. Kind of like we did in high school.
  4. Thats just plain "cool".
  5. James, your picture makes a great desk top wallpaper. Thanks again.
  6. Friction tape. Black, sticky, friction tape.
  7. Well, then, maybe its a good thing that we don't all have flying cars. Especially me.
  8. Ya know, fifty years ago we were promised flying cars. What ever happened there? I'm still waiting.
  9. Thank you very much for letting me see that. One picture is enough to make me sick with jealousy. What a beautiful car. MMMMMMM MMMMMMMM MMMMMMM It is sometimes painful to think of the stupid things I did.
  10. Thats what I call focused!
  11. Jamesply, as a former owner of 1930 Chrysler, I would enjoy very much to see any pictures of the 30 DeSoto. The picture here was taken about 1962. I still dream about that car. Thanks.
  12. OK, what does he use for a HAND brake?
  13. Yep, one bad dude.
  14. Welcome back, Mr. Bill. It sounds like you have some worthy distractions. Pictures will help us keep you focused.
  15. Hey Greg, 36" on the ground in South Bend right now, more to come tonight and tomorrow. Will it affect the Studebaker swap meet ?
  16. Number 3 looks like a 57 Canadian "Plodge".
  17. I think that may be the car I saw in the Imperial Palace collection a few years ago. It is a 54 Chysler 4 door with a/c in the trunk because the car was sealed to keep outside air from getting inside. Howard Hughes wanted a bacteria free environment to ride around in.
  18. Thanks BobT !
  19. Reserve= $1000
  20. Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you. You drive an ond Mopar, and we all do too.
  21. As long as we're on this, here's a 53 Chrysler with a trunk load of tools and a jack, no block of wood, picked off the bay. The 48 Plymouths coupe is a resin cast and the 4 door is diecast. The 60 Olds is also a resin cast from the same guy.
  22. Nice picture. I'd like to be a fly on the wall to hear the dinner conversation there. Family is what its about. Its good that your Dad can see three generations ahead. Its what we all wish for.
  23. Is it just me, or is that an odd shaped water pump casting?
  24. Well, according to shop manuals for my cars with aluminum radiators and heads, extended life anti-freeze is required cut in half with distilled water. DexCool is one brand. I changed it at 50k as required for warrantee purposes, but I haven't changed it again at 123k. The radiator is very clean, none of that stuff that grows on the ends of the tubes.
