  1. I have to agree with Greg I just hit it with my 6 volt charger when it needs it. I also remove one of the battery terminals when it sits for a while, they also sell a shut of type battery terminal for a few bucks at swap meets. ed
  2. Try moparts web site I have made a few good deals there http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/postlist.php?Cat=0&Board=Engines
  3. worst case it would just be another slight modification just need to hook up a few batteries and maybe some solar cells to charge the batteries. Just not sure what size resistor I will need to run my 6 volt heater and wiper motors
  4. Not a good deal you can always find another od trans but how could you ever duplicate that one of a kind vehicle. And speaking of pound for pound if you scrapped it you could buy 2 od transmission at todays scrap prices
  5. Can't count shows for car owners. I personally do not like shows I never put any of my vehicles in one, don't like to sit there all day. You may see me on the road but never sitting at a show. Ed
  6. Rhode Island and YNZ seem to be the main suppliers of premade stock harness if you are not concerned about staying original there are many more options links below http://www.riwire.com/ http://www.ynzyesterdaysparts.com/catalog_download.htm
  7. Download is not a problem as I am on cable only option as I do not have a phone line canceled it becaunse 99% of my phone calls were trying to sell me something or to do a survey. Tried do not call list it helped but just not worth it. Everyone has a cell phone so not a loss and save about $40.00 per month on the phone bill.
  8. Kanter has the mopar caps for the unity lights in there catalog http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/kanter/index.aspx?pagename=shopmain&fsid=d9b433bd-827f-40f5-8dd8-c3468c386394&pagenumber=68&circularid=9421
  9. I get more then my share of spam but it gets treated like junk mail at the house never gets opened. I use yahoo and basically when you mark a message as spam the user gets blocked next time they try to send also most of it is filtered to a bulk folder that most times I just empty.
  10. They do not have a kit listed for Dodge trucks. I was also thinking about a dual master for a 46 wd21 project I have lined up for this summer and I have some information from a member of the 39-47 Dodge trucks group who installed one in his truck the set up should be similar to ph trucks. I will PM it to you Ed
  11. Al,looks easy and I will have have to send my letter to Santa so I can look for one under the tree Ed
  12. About a year ago I was looking at a truck on ebay. It was not too far from me so I emailed the seller my phone # and said I would like to see it but it only had a little time left and it had 1 bid. The seller who I did not know and never spoke to me before tells me not to worry about the current bid it was put in by his friend to start the action and if there were no other bid I could see the truck after it ended. It turned out that it had a few bids and I guess it sold; it told him I was not interested. My point here is that some sellers will shill bids. Yes I still bid on ebay but I guess like most here just bid what its worth to me. The way I see it everywhere in life there are dishonest people you just need to be smart enough not to be the fish that goes for the worm but gets the hook instead. Ed
  13. I am thinking of installing one of the ECI Dual Master cylinder in my 52 Plymouth next month and was wondering if anyone has installed one or has any feedback on them. Staying with the drum brakes for now. link to their website below http://ecihotrodbrakes.com/master_cylinder_systems.html
  14. I also killed the ad on I had . I have sold a few vehicles on ebay so I should be use to it. I just did not feel like putting up with the dumb questions at this time of the year. Everybody wants something for nothing. I would like to make a bid on the car I will pay $ $650.00 and can be over to pick it up tomorrow. Now all I have to do is make this offer to your wife and I just may get it.
  15. Thanks I will check it out, maybe I will buy myself a present.
  16. Harold where is the store located what road is it on Ed
  17. I saw that on ebay I sent them a email they have no title and say vin plate is not readable. Interesting looking truck but it would be hard to title at least in NJ. Not real familiar with the PH trucks but I would guess it to be a 48 or 49 as it appears to have the small parking lights like my 49 ;they have it listed as a 47
  18. Purolator has a filter look up that actually shows our vehicles. I typed in 1948 Plymouth Deluxe and it showed a filter number L20700' I then tried my 52 Plymouth Cambridge it listed the same filter but it also new the difference between the years for the Deluxe which stopped at 50. On my 52 I have a newer spin on filter setup but just thought I would pass on the Purolator filter look up with it you should be able to cross reference their number most anywhere Ed http://www.pureoil.com/ProductFinder.aspx?action=AS
  19. Here is a idea for you if your coupe sells and you want to drive your wife crazy. I have a 61 Willys Sedan Dellvery with a Ford 302 listed that is a bigger project then yours . The perfect thing to fill that empty spot in the garage. Ed
  20. I saw your posting on the 39-47 Dodge group. I have a 46 wd21 project pending but if you were closer to NJ I might be tempted Ed
  21. Here is a link to a article that appeared in Smithsonian magazine a few years ago even has a photo of a P15 in Cuba http://oldmopar.com/cuba.html
  22. Looks like it should be hanging on the post office wall
  23. I remember the tool that was a few years ago I think on the old forum but it was a good idea and did not look too hard to build. Information is most likely buried on the cd's the old forum was down loaded to Ed
