  1. Depending on the different states some vehicles used the engine number on the title which is what was done on you car. The vin/serial number should be on a plate on the drivers door. My 46 truck had that set I just had the DMV change the numbers I just showed the correct number filled out a form and of course paid a processing fee
  2. many forums are using PHP here is a link to one of the more informative sites but there is a lot to learn to set up on your own http://www.php.net/ I have a 72-79DodgeTrucks group I moderate on yahoo There are sites that set it up on their server but gives you more control. I looked at one of them a while back but stead with yahoo it seems to work ok just limits members to those with a yahoo email I forget which one I looked at but do a google on PHP free forum and a few will pop up

  8. Easy answer for me I like to keep things simple so I would just go with the rear. Although I think a 3.5 or 3.2 would work even better for highway.
  9. Reminds me of a computer game my son had I guess 8 -10 years back you had to built contraptions like that and tried to make them work. I forget the name but that was fun actually setting something up like that would drive me crazy. Ed
  10. When I purchased my 52 it came with new leaf springs, had to put them on before I could move the car, anyhow they bring up the rear nicely but now I am also thinking about replacing the front coils just wondering if you replaced the front springs where you purchased them ed
  11. Good thing about being famous it gets you help. Another car in the same condition would have sold for a few hundred been stripped of any good parts and be on its way to China by now.
  12. How did you make out with the oil leak ?
  13. That is a lot of money . Now I know why I see so many people riding bicycles in the English movies
  14. personally I am no a fan of the electronics on older vehicles many times the cause more problems then they solve. I also own a few willys vehicles. Walcks has a distributer for $119. not sure if ist new or rebuilt but you can give them a call. Here is a link to the part It is Not electronic but mechanical point style https://www.walcks4wd.com/product.aspx?pid=1635

  17. I figured it was something like that I have had cable here for the past dozen years but I remember the dark ages before cable and had to have the rotator on the antenna to get all the channels. Ed

  19. Fred, The photo I posted from rockauto had a part listing as STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # DS52 they are giving the manufactures part# if so you should be able to look at one at you local auto parts store at the link he is what standard motor parts shows using part# DS52 http://www.standardbrand.com/web_app/catalog/smp_bgbulk.aspx Ed
  20. I have done a few MC's I am not real technical I just look at it and try to get it clean. I honed them till clean or fairly clean. 2 of the cars I did I sold to friends and no complaints or crashes yet. But this is me and you should do it correctly so you would need to find the maximum the size of the bore can be as you have no idea if it has been done before. one option is to switch to a dual master which is the route I plan for the 52 I am working on now. A few members here use them and seem satisfied.

  24. Are you getting a good spark, are points set correctly plugs and wires are correct and distributer is installed correctly (it is possible to put it in backwards which would cause starting and running problems) did you have the car running before you stated the engine work
  25. I swapped my 52 Plymouth to a manual choke I used one of the off the shelf maual choke kits and mine had a bracket to hold the cable basically a ell bracket with a some holes in it and a clamb for the cable also had a adapter for the carb. My kit was a old one I had lying around but I see they still sell them in the auto parts stores .
