  1. This looks kinda like the color you are using.
  2. Not sure if this is any different from what you have.
  3. Andy, Is that the original location for your spare tire?
  4. Some of the head bolts go into water passages. Did you put sealer on them?
  5. Start the engine cold. The upper radiator hose will remain cold until the thermostat opens. When it opens the upper hose will become hot.
  6. Typical teenager, talking on the cell phone while driving. Lol
  7. I paid around 54.00 each. Thought it was pretty reasonable
  8. That is a latch. The center also raises and has a pin.
  9. I bought these about a year ago, but haven't used them yet.
  10. I've always thought the older style jack stands were better with the pin that you slide into the holes at the height you wanted.
  11. I think 90's Ford Escorts and Tempos had them in the trunk area too. On the drivers side.
  12. I recall having seen them trunk mounted as well. I would think being trunk mounted is a better idea anyway. Usually if someone is going to hit you it's most likely going to be from behind. I would think if it were in the passenger compartment you'd have to get rammed harder to activate it.
  13. Just a thought. If you replaced the control arm shafts and bushings and didn't get the spacing correct. The bushings could be too tight on the shafts which would cause a binding which could account for rough ride because you aren't getting full travel. Also if the bushings are bottomed out on the shafts it could prevent the grease from going in. Did you use the proper install tools for the bushings? Once again just a thought.
  14. Regular copper lines are not a good idea for brakes. They can burst from the pressure. The nickle copper or copper nickle are the supposed to be very good and easy to bend.
  15. I saw his car on Ebay several years ago.
  16. Old timers used to say that if you pull the dipstick while the engine is running and the oil level shows normal, then the pump isn't pumping. I don't know if this still holds true or not.
  17. You'll never have to worry about running out of gas. ?
  18. I recall reading somewhere (maybe here) that late 70's early 80's Chevy pick up shocks worked.
  19. Your pictures look like they show 2 different housings. The thermostat you have with the adapter and rubber washer is correct for a housing with a by-pass hose attached. The old thermostat looks like it would be correct for a housing without the by-pass fitting. Note: The thermostat you show in the first picture doesn't look like the rusty 1 in your follow up picture where you are asking for a part number.
  20. Believe I used an early 80's Riviera hose on my PlyDo kit about 15 years ago. Probably the same hose.
  21. That's the same as the Ford F100 front mounts.
  22. I my opinion, if your original steer box is in good shape I'd try the modification in the video. If you change the column but use the stock steering box, the shaft would have to be cut, and the remaining shaft coming out of the box would have to be splined or welded for a u joint or rag joint to attach the new column. I've also never been comfortable with the idea of using a tilt column with manual steering. It seems like it would put too much stress on the tilt mechanism. Just my opinion.
