I used their tank in a 1948 the tank was just about 1 inch short of stock brackets so I just had add a thick flat plate to span the space, plate had holes drilled for stock bracket and tank approx. 1 inch apart with grade 8 bolts. the only other modification was the tank did not have the hump on the top hence when mounted it was not as close the hole under the cab which made the angle of the filler hose different, so the hole had to be widened a little so the two would mount together. I am very happy with their tank and service the give.

Looks great! love the front of that truck, looks mean great job on the composite decking, that was my first choice but I chickened out. never found something I liked yours looks great. I am having my share of door gap problems will wake till I have it on hard level surface with more room than the tent I work in. Love the color , not a lot of trucks that color make it unique .. Fantastic job.

New Clear Coat for an old Dodge

Looks good she earned every inch of that patina. If I could do my truck all over for my situation, that kind of finsh makes more sense for me. live and learn.. enjoy your new old truck -
Congratulations on your award. the real award was having your daughter share your interest in the old girl and spend the day with you. I know w hat you mean with the no garage but I do have a tent this year LOL

because of the firewall inset the cowl vent mech had to be reworked, and there is a large motor for the Newport engineering electric wipers that had to be rotated from the original left facing position to right facing because of the dash mounted shifter. Add the fact that there is a rather large wire loom for the Hurricane AC and duct work I never worked so hard to get so much behind the dash 10lbs of crap in 5 lb bag LOL the stereo that is mounted in the pic is only 3" deep and is really too close to everything.

a big yes on the pinstripe the guy who sprayed it sprayed the different color sections a little at a time and then cleared it so got one heck of a tape line bump to cover was thinking black pinstripe. the fire wall and kick panels and head liner are something called polywall sold at Home Depot at about 19.00 a sheet I cheaped out on interior for now since I knew I was going to remove it some day I only used Krylon plastic paint (mistake) should have used SEM. The stuff I used will never hold up. But I was getting crazy about seeing this thing on the road sooner rather than later. I love the floor mat because it does lay good on a hump, the pic shows it needing to be trimmed again because of added thickness of insulation and liner on the sides. It was a sponge type of mat sold by the roll at Lowes was a little higher about 56.00 but needed that material to match inlays cut outs. I like the Clearance lights too but I think the Visor is what sets them off, can't do that till I get some glass in.

made a plate that goes in original rectangle gauge frame, not enough space for anything behind there so plate has the new chrome indian tank badge off a new chief...

Despite my many goof ups my little project is coming along since I got the cab back. Still much to do in the way of decal work and clear coat and cut and buff and all but I had to get it back to do some more work . So I though I would try to post a few pics of the in between stage.

Just got off the phone with Roberts they said oh yes for some application the handle is too short and that I should just weld an extension on to the shaft. Great not real happy offered refund but then I'm without anything, guess they could have listed a note in the catalog Hey, buy are handles they don't work, but they are close for 109.00 at 3 inches mine are real short of the lock mech and so far we have one person Brent 3b who said theirs measures 3 5/8 any other lengths that people have please let me know only want to do this once.....for a change.
-
Ok thanks these are only 3 inches will call them this morning
