  5. I guess it was not here LOL, showed how much bigger cab was in height and width wanted to keep it for car show poster someday oh well thanks for reading
  6. Not sure where I saw it, but I remember a pic of a Dodge pilothouse sitting side by side for comparison in size and style with a Ford if any one knows where I saw the pic let me know or post it thanks
  7. I have fun driving a 69 Dodge with drum brakes I do well with it, but you sure need to plan a little more ahead and be hyper sensitive to the nuts around you who have now regard for others. Some day I would like to upgrade the brakes on it a little, so my girl will drive it more
  8. Wow thats a rare one would love to have one LOL
  9. interesting Vintage dodge truck brake up date video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Uwxev7ssPs
  10. Real cool truck got to say those rear windows reminded me of this cool video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWLSk_Uk1JM Welcome and good luck with your project looks like a great start
  11. I'm with you on that. This project is and has been a long row to hoe. Sad part is just a little over half way there. Painting in my neck of the wood is a expensive and long process, everyone wants to earn a years worth of wages in a weeks worth of work. Might just have to drag it to FL over the winter some time, Body shop on every corner fast ant talented shops.
  12. Well thought I would try again to find a pic of a truck I liked and change the color an add a few things that I planned via draywing on it. First off, I know its a Fargo but I liked the basic spring special type paint job only thing was the color at the bottom wrapped all the way around the bottom of the cab (different than what I've seen). the real colors I plan I could not get on the computer will be a Med Dark ivory and a Carmel Metalic of some kind, but this was close as I could get Not all the decals are on there but I did put the dummy lights and the tank in the back, there will be a large Decal that says Plant Security Patrol on the Bed side Even have an old repop Plant Security guard badge that will be on the dash for shows (LOL) long way off Since everything is wrapped up for the winter or in differnt locations I have only been able to do a few small things. Made a metal Glove box, and designed a removable cowl vent bug screen that is held in by magnets only. Also got my slip spline drive shaft made. Denny's Drive Shafts.
  13. Wow Looks great going to be a head turner
  14. When we take the other trucks to shows we use the plug in garmin gps, great display for speedo Between problems with the speedo itself and the cable or right gear on the trans fitting I always seem to have somekind speedo issues anyhow. I have all new gauges for this truck that will be installed direct infront of steering wheel they are round about the same size as speaker grills that will be to the right of them. That's why I liked keeping the round theme It was just a thought I have not pursued yet but it would also solve my radio space issues
  15. thanks for the pics great looking truck WELL DONE
  16. wow love the truck and all the little tweeks Love the color too (what is it) do you have any full truck or dash pics
  17. Let me know if you decide, sure would like to see a pic, lots of different style round recivers out there. But in my case I have to check out a few other things first and can't get to the truck right now.
  18. This one is Bluetooth and IPhone wireless the cord show is something separate I was looking at for front thumbdrive port to mount under dash http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_76489_Dual-MGH30BT.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLA&scid=scplp6738254&gclid=CMe6q5bz8sECFQUR7AodUi8AMw
  19. Happened to be looking at stereo install ideas and came across a round stereo receiver just for fun called Crutchfield to see if marine radio would work on a car, got a real pro who walked me through it and showed me how it could be done. claims its done alot on clasics but I have never seen it. thought might look good installed inside one of the speaker grill trim rings just an idea for those who are ok with having music on a thumb drive instead of CD.
  20. Did the stainless angles on a 69 dodge utiline wooden bed, used small stainless bolts with acorn nuts on the outside came out OK
  21. wow looks like I have the wrong trim rings all together mine have no clip or place to mount one to. Thanks for the pic
  22. The headlight trim rings I have for my 48 have a single screw at the 6 oclock position but it looks as if the should be some sort of clip that slides into the top of the bucket. is this part some thing I can fab up, to make these work? anyone have any pics of the clip or what they did. please post.
