  1. You are right old woolie! I just re read that section of his book. 1st series 55's did have the 54 windshield according to the Bunn/Brownell bible.
  2. Yes.....go save it. It needs you !
  3. How may blades are on your fan? I've had a couple of these oldies that had 6 bladed fans and the extra 2 blades made a lot more racket than the standard 4 blades.
  4. Same question here. Grandpadodge
  5. Hey....I'm # 1 of the top 11-20. After reviewing my prifile photo Merle might bump me cause I gotta go paint my facia board and remove the Xmas lights on the car port.
  6. Paul, I sell the interior patterns for the Pilot House trucks. PM me if interested. eBay Item number: 120336094758 Reg
  7. That saw looks like it would be the best solution I've seen so far. Thanks Ed ! I'm ordering one now.
  8. Another discovery I found a few years back was that these 46-48 Dodge clocks fit right into the speaker grill for the 48-53 trucks.
  9. NO ! NO ! NO!..........I'm having some 610T stickers made up now to cover the real model numbers. All I have now that would cut the dash is a large saws all,a jig saw,and a nibbler. I think they are all too big to get in there.
  10. Yes Ed ! Now if I can figure out the best way to cut the opening in my dash without ruining the original paint on the dash I'll be in bidness. Ideas ???
  11. Green 98, Here are a couple of photos of the 54 Dodge truck. 54 was the first year of the Functional Design Era trucks (54-56) and was the first year Dodge trucks could be ordered with a 241 V-8 Semi-hemi engine. This was also the first year for a 1 piece curved windshield. As stated above 54 was the only year where this windshield was used. This makes it easy to identify a 1954 from the other years. In 55 it wrapped around a little more like shown in your photo. Another identifying feature for 54 was the little optional chevron under the headlights. This is a 54 1.5 ton with the V8. You can tell it's at least a 1.5 ton by the fender flares. Here's another example of a 54 equipped with a flat head six. Note the different L6 hood emblem. NAPA is another source for engine and brake parts and don't forget eBay !
  12. I'm really glad to hear it fits Paul. If it doesn't work it might only need a tube or two replaced. Keep us posted.
  13. Does it have an engine number just below the head up front on the drivers side. If so we can identify it for you.
  14. Kinda looks like a late 30's button for a car to me. Here's a 38 Dodge button.
  15. We'd love to see some photos of your woodie posted here. Got any? Where are you located ?
  16. I know what ya mean. I spent lots of time drooling over this one at a local show last summer.
  17. I am going to try my darndest to never post any more of my home made jokes here unless they are much clearer than mud.
  18. Wayfarer, I've been looking for this water pump you mention so I can use a 57 Plymouth 318 poly engine in a similar vintage truck. Know anyone that would have one for sale? Thanks, Reg
  19. Paul, I have a radio out of a 51 Plymouth you can have for nuttin. Don't know if it works but I think it might fit right in the 610T factory cut out on your dash. If it does fit just let me know and I'll quit my search for a 610T. My dash wasn't cut out from the factory like some were so I can't try it myself. PM me with your address if interested.
  20. The trucks had a similar mount for the V8's as they did for the flat 6's from 54-59. Here's 2 photos of my 58 Sweptsides front mounts. This engine is a 315 Poly engine and in 59 they used a 318 poly. You can see the center rubber mount just under the fan pulley.
  21. I know what you mean regarding the iPhone Pete. My wife got one recently and was reading my email to me while we were driving along at 55 mph in the mountains of Montana. Sure beats counting license plates on a long road trip! Truly amazing.
  22. Dale, I think you have to be a member of the DPETCA club.
  23. Works like a charm with my 610-T radio Zeke All I can think of to say to that is
  24. My 52 had an antenna installed on the passenger side cowl top. No 610T on the inside though.
  25. Here's one on eBay right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1933-1959-MoPar-Plymouth-Dodge-Chrysler-Gas-FILTER-Glas_W0QQitemZ350102542521QQihZ022QQcategoryZ34284QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
