does anybody have about $850 and a flatbed i can permanently borrow?

does your car have "inertia drive" or is there a lever on top to actuate the bendix? most trucks used the lever, so YOU initiate the bendix, much more durable... inertia drives start the motor and grind the gears before they truly engage.

it does sound that way. does the axle look like a recent repair, or is it old? if its later in its life, it is often cheaper to swap the axles for brake repair, as our brakes are really expensive to fix. -
i'm using a stock drivetrain except for a 94' cherokee rear end, came from a 4x4. the drums fit the original wheels perfectly. 3.55 is perfect for stock, but other than that i dont know. i may have been the one who posted the thread you speak of, as i did this myself. if you have any questions about the actual swap, give me a call at 262-496-8104 on weekends or after 2:30 weekdays.

look into wiseco, they normally make performance pistons, but i think they might make em' to spec for you.

have you checked out the valves? you have to consider, 12 valves, 12 places for failure...

true, what does plexi cost these days anyways? i havent bought any in awhile... to go with that, what should glass cost, i think its supposed to be laminated.

seeing as this probably wont be a legal road truck for awhile, could i just use plexiglass for now? cheaper, easier to cut, easier to just glue in place till i fix the windshield frame...

BTW- what is the part # for 10" car front drums? are they similar to truck? if so, i have NEW replacements for the old drums that come out to $100/pair, if you dont mind slight mods.

that does look like its in very good shape, mine was a rust pile with a good engine when i got it!

that would be nice, but if you did things like that, we would have all of them as sticky threads! seriously though, you couldnt really do anything with it unless you divided it into categories such as "engine" and "body", etc. im sure GTK could go further into it

all the windows (but the driver's side!) are shot out of my 41'. i would have to guess they have the same cabs as the smaller pickups and whatnot, but what other windshields would fit to replace them? and the other windows! i dont have the cash to have em' made, nor do i have patterns!
