  1. Looks nice Mack...... Look forward to seeing the finished window frames.
  2. That's a pretty "open air" ride.......what do you do on rainy and snowy days??
  3. Over 40K invested.........asking $38,500. Not what you'd call a profit on investment. Maybe he should have added ghost flames to go with those spook wheels......
  4. The HAMB fellows usually take pictures of GM and Ford stuff, very few of Mopars. So, hopefully you have some including some of the Chrysler Corp stuff there. I always take pics of Mopars at things I attend. In most cases there are not that many on hand. Thanks in advance for the pics.
  5. Well, I looked on Mecum's site tonight.....and the old Vette didn't sell. Only got a max bid of $100,000. Pre auction estimate of sale was from $175 to $225 K. I'm gonna guess the local guy made a little on it, but the buyer will have to keep trying to sell for more.
  6. Even saw a partial shot of a P15 in the show. You can see the front end to the right of this green coupe. That was the only pic I could find as most were of Fords and Chevs, etc. Link to the entire thread with lots of good pictures for anyone who wishes to look. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=771484 #2....interesting (to me anyway) 60 Dodge custom. #3....nice Dodge in the woodie section. #4.....little newer surfin' wagon. #5....a pretty stock looking Town & Country convert to the left.
  7. That picture does show you one thing.........that some P15s were shipped from the factory with those white metal wheel trim rings to give the effect of having whitewalls......as whitewalls were either few or nonexistant right then. (I'm presuming these were new cars from the factory.) Looks as if a window is rolled down on a couple of them......... Wonder what those signs in the windows say.......I don't think they had window stickers as we know them back then.
  8. Hi Rusty.........nice car. Glad you joined. My only suggestion is that you try and find a way to make your pictures end up a bit smaller. Don't know which method you are using to post them, but I use PhotoBucket online album which offers the ability to re-size pictures as they are placed into the album. Therefore, they come out a good size for forum use.
  9. What city craigslist is it on......maybe I can get a workable link.
  10. From the thread mentioned above............. OOps.....only meant to have the first one once. Ignore the pushbutton switch in the pic with the handle.
  11. I posted a pic of my trunk handle on the other thread............
  12. I think it will. Do they look alike?? I've noticed that all the US 46-48 Mopars use the same trunk handle complete with license plate light. Does it look like this one?
  13. Hello Ian...........welcome. You would have to either make a rear seat, or find something from another vehicle that would fit. Not impossible, but you have to go to a little effort to accomplish. Tune-up parts, and other things are available - some thru your local auto parts store, some thru e-Bay, and some thru certain old MoPar vendors. There are some members here from the U K with Plymouth P15s who will hopefully chime in and give you some further information. carnut.com has some pictures of street rod type Plymouths. Link to the index.....http://carnut.com/photo/list/list.html
  14. Yep - pretty darn cool stuff.

  16. Does the Antique Auto Club of America have a printed list regarding their HPOF (historic preservation of features) category?? You might check around to see what it says. Their home page: http://aaca.org/ Otherwise some of those things seem like they need to be done as maintenance.
  17. Don't know if this will help.-- from parts manual.
  18. I'm thinking, based on past posts, that the R7 won't fit in a newer car that took an R10 (like '46 & newer). But I don't recall why. Couldn't pull up any old posts on the topic.
  19. Wellll........when I tried to send a P M to Young Ed, it said he could not receive messages. Is there some secret to sending P Ms?
  20. Now might be the time to install some front disc brakes.......there is a good kit produced by Charlie Akers, whose business name is RustyHope. I believe several here on the forum have installed them.
  21. couldn't get this one to work right.........
  22. I've not seen one of those plates before........but don't think I will get one. The good news was that the 21st amendment repealed the 18th (prohibition)......so now I can have an occasional beer or mixed drink. Sorry, Carrie Nation.
  23. Hmmm.....first car did not materialize. Second one, just barely it appears.
