  1. I'm still trying to get used to the look of this one. What do you think? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge-Other-Pickups-1-2-TON-1952-KUSTOM-CHOPPED-DODGE-TRUCK-FORD-GRILL-HOT-RAT-ROD_W0QQitemZ230350063332QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item35a1ef06e4&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A10%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1308
  2. I saw one other truck where the owner created wood running boards. Not all bad. Always good to see our trucks on public display.
  3. Glad you got the truck and glad you are putting it to good use. Isn't it amazing what others can do to ruin a good truck? And then we get them and have to fix all of their lousy attempts at conversions.
  4. Are the commercials any better in digital?
  5. I'll try to make it on Saturday. Here's a link for anyone else interested. Hope some others can make it as well. http://www.chryslerclub.org/meetinfo.htm By the way - a ride in Byron's limo is a real treat. But then, his truck is really nice too.

  13. Dr. Victor Palma Chavez lives in Chile and sent these pictures of his Desoto truck. He's trying to find out who might have built the cab. Any ideas? He also sent a Desoto brochure, in Spanish, to put on our website: http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/desoto_brochure/desoto/imgcol/index.htm .
  14. Or if the guy has employees, one of them got a nice 5 fingered raise from your sister. hmmmmm.
  15. I was fortunate as this was given to me - as in free. But I can't calculate the amount of money I already have into it and not done yet. I can say that when I get done, I wouldn';t sell it for cheap, though i certainly have no plans on doing that. i already have 4 years of labor into it and probably another one to go. It's better if I don't total the current receipts.
  16. This is really going to be nice when it's done
  17. I don't know of anyone who makes replacement pockets for either high or low sides. Since I just replaced one on my high side here's what I did. One pocket was damaged to the point I didn't really think I was going to be able to straighten it. Fortunately I had another side with the bottom rusted out, but the pockets were good. I drilled out the spot welds on the replacement pocket. Drilling leaves holes in bed side but I didn't care cause it was heavily rusted on the bottom. I used a spot weld cutter on the pocket I was replacing. This allowed me to pull it off without damaging the bed side. Here's the replacement pocket ready to go on to the side. Then welded the replacement in it's place.
