  1. We need to get moparvern (Mark) and 48dodger (Tim) together some time. Tim has a minagerie of Dodge and Pilothouse trucks and races during the summer. Mark does complete restoration and customization of Dodge and Chrysler vehicles. Lots of knowledge between the two of them. Moparvern since you can't make it to Lodi, should we try planning a BBQ event in Santa Rosa this summer?
  2. Dues either come up in January or June of each year. If you have your membership card it will tell you when you became a member, or wait for an email reminder, which should go out in the next few weeks. The email is late in being sent.
  3. There's a breakdown of what the B** codes (VIN is you want to call it that) mean on the DPETCA site. Here's a link: http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/vin/model.htm
  4. see ya tonight

  6. I had to "tub" my firewall to make room for the engine. But some have suggested that you can move the engine mounts. I hope they'll speak up and show some pics of that.
  7. keep up the good work. If you need help just holler. There's a few of us that have done this already, or are in progress like you.
  8. I'm impressed. The guy did a nice job.
  9. Tim, at the bottom add this url for people that want more info and directions. http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/clements/ I'll update the webpage to reflect the new info for this year. When I see your revision I'll print up some hard copies and mail them out.
  10. The 610T radios are like unicorns and other mythical animals. Few people have really seen one and if they do, no one else believes 'em.
  11. Good lookin poster. I'll print up some hard copies and start mailing them out to those of us in N. Cal. Will you son be there? I think I need my car painted.
  12. Don's book is really essential for information about our trucks and you will need to purchase a copy of that somewhere. Many of the repair and parts manuals are online on the DPETCA site at no charge. They can be downloaded and used on your computer until you get to buying a hard copy. http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/know.htm
  13. What year plymouth bumper should I look for?
  14. you're starting the new year off with a great start. Enjoy.
  15. I have my boxes apart right now while I'm getting ready to redo them. I found two different type of bars go under the tailgate. The top one is from a short bedside, the wider lower bar is from a highside. These are '52's. Hope this helps.
  16. Looks like it's seen many years of service. Looks like it's still in use. Do you know if it's still running?
  17. Wow, great shots. Glad your truck is so useful in the wintertime.
  18. Finally pulled the pictures off the camera so I can show you Byron's wonderful Chrysler Imperial 8 seater Limousine (has everything but the back seat divider window). Used by the governor of Georgia, even had a pistol holster. Has Automatic transmission, hydraulic power windows. and 5 feet of leg room in the back. Big straight 8 cylinder engine. Getting ready to drive Miss Daisy (my wife) for a ride around town. And here's his '48 pilothouse that he stores at the Tillamook Air Museum. Runs nice and smooth.
  19. I'll probably spend almost $700 when I get done replacing all the rubber and window channels. It's certainly not cheap so I'm doing it in stages. If you read the past forums you'll find that steele rubber seems to have the fewest problems. There is also clesters that was reported to work well, but they don't have it all. If you need to replace the window channeling then Roberts or JCWhitney seemed to work fine for me on that.
  20. Chat night the Last sunday of the month. We skipped last month cause of the holidays.
  21. Frankie47. Yes, Phillips farms is still there and looks like they're doing just fine. I drive by it on every trip to Lodi, just hadn't noticed the name. It's about 1/2 mile east of the Flying J station and restaurant, which is the 12/99 intersection. Since you seem to know the area I'll share with you that our normal 2 1/2 trip from Santa Rosa to Lodi on Friday night took almost 5 hours. There was a head on collision between hwy 99 and Rio Vista that closed the highway and also a spill on the Rio Vista bridge. Traffic was at a stand still for 4 miles west of Rio Vista. We turned around and had to drive up to Sacramento, back down on 99 to the Flying J intersection and then on to Lodi. A very long night. If you haven't visit Lodi in years you'll probably find that it's all grown up now.
  22. Not true! We had two nights last month when it got down to 30 and 32 degrees. I had to turn my electric blankey on!
  23. I'm headed to Lodi this weekend - I'll look for Phillip farm. where should I look?
  24. I agree. Read it a couple years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. A great "winter time" read when's it's too cold to go out and work on the truck.
  25. Went two years ago to this. It's hugh and lots of fun. Didn't find much in mopar parts, though. Not sure if I'll be going this year. As time gets closer I'll let you know if I think I'm going to make it. Might go to Lodi over that weekend and then swing down to Turlock for the meet on Saturday. Always enjoy meeting some of the other members.
