  1. Dont throw those wire old coat hangers away.
  2. Good points Sam. Inert gas methods are prefered for sheetmetal applications. And your oxy-ace set up can work but it tends to warp easily so not recommended. You can get by with a braze weld which requires less heat otherwise your burning through. With all process make sure your work is clean and fitted.
  3. As a former sheetmetal worker I must compliment you TI on a skilled project.
  4. Back in the day (geezer) we 'tuned' these old cars by ear. Dwell meter? Vacuum gauge? Turn the dizzy just so much. Play with mixture screw. And dont use Champion plugs These are not Ferraris
  5. Damn you are so old school!
  6. Nice work. For sure TIG is a better process but not everybody has the room to keep and drag around big argon bottles or the investment costs. For the hobbyist (me) a simple and compact wirefeed is just fine for small jobs. Make sure you have a dedicated 20 amp service for your little MIG welder or you wont get far
  7. JC get an owners manual for all settings and clearances. They're out they
  8. You've got yourself a gem there. It ran before, itll run again. While the heads off you might as well systematically go through the complete check list. New wires and cap. Rebuild the carb. All these components simple and much cheaper than an engine swap.
  9. When your cleaning dont forget water distribution tube
  10. Under carpet and glue on with liquid nails adhesive
  11. And now the door thresholds Originals or replications would be nice..but as I am cheap I discovered a black vinyl commercial carpet/wall cove worked great.
  12. Check out the blue 8 passenger Coronet! Looks like Dodge designers slapped a club coupe were the trunk should be! How many of those are left?
  13. I suppose you could slap some flex seal on interior floorboards. (But I wouldnt) and good time to anchor lap seatbelts to raised floorboards behind front seats. Use large washers with that install.
  14. Ah..good responses all. And everyone who posted here. Mature drivers, years of safety and experience, not succumbing to ***** behavior on our roads Aggressive driving habits are the norm now. And look at names here. Names you see often. Proud to be a part of this group. Get home safe
  15. I wanted to share some drawings from a friend
  16. Do not despair, Killer. There's 2 P15 dash clocks on Ebay. One for $800 and one for $850.
  17. I finally replaced my clock movement with a cheap battery operated quartz motor. done. period
