  1. They might be fine for cruising and look good. youll feel the difference between a bias tire and a radial the way it handles
  2. I agree with Sam Get it running go from there. How are the tires, brakes, suspension before you head out on freeway speeds. Hot rod it down the road if you wish Old cars handle way differently and are made to cruise. Your safety is what matters. IMHO upgrade is not a modification. Axle swaps are a lot cheaper than R10s (if you can find one) Plenty of info on axle swaps in here.
  3. Related to the breather tube...the cap itself, a one way slotted fit.. Vented and points just one way. All over the gd coil and dizzy! Remedies?
  4. I hear ya Rich I took the pledge this year and Boogers not using corn gas anymore. Non oxy gas is 4.50 a gal. I attended a local car show a couple of years back. It took me almost an hour to get in! My old clutch wasnt diggin that. So now I park outside and walk in. (and that way I can bail early if I want0 and still enjoy the sights
  5. Pull the knob out first to set your desired station. give that a try
  6. A big shout out to Keith and all the contributors here who keep us less skilled mopar lovers on the road!
  7. I would think the E fuel pump would assist in any deficiency of the mech pump. Isnt that the point of installing one? I mean if your getting a steady stream of gas down the pie hole...
  8. Youre exactly right. It gets really tight down there. I had some braided oil lines made for oil filter ended up not using. Just no room with the stoopid close placement of in and out ports
  9. Damn! Thats a sci fi film! set up an oil filter while your in the neighborhood. You got the bracket right there
  10. And your right about the bluetooth MP3 and all. Luckily we still have oldies rock and I can find a ball game on the AM. and it can sound like heck with the bad reception and static at times. II guess thats part why I still drive old tin. Wait for the tubes to warm up. They will, eventually. : )
  11. Ive used a camp light 6v battery to test my radio. For sure replace the vibrator tube. Chances are the doz caps in that radio need replacing
  12. I dont like automatic chokes for all the above reasons. Booger started running rough suddenly. Made no sense. Turned out something as simply as a bad condenser
  13. wow 100 amps. Woulnt 60 do the job? (or does it matter?)
  14. Dudley Do-right at your service!. Orlando had patrol officers back then? Patrol what? Cows? Broderick Crawford in Highway Patrol. Thats a big 10-4
  15. The carpet I bought fit tranny hump and all but in the end it was too wide I had to cut off the binding. I ended up using a 1/4" plastic panel nosing that I spray painted to match carpet and hot glued it. On drivers side I used velcro tape to access brake fluid tank. For the threshold I got some commercial vinyl coving and flipped it over using the wall side up as it has a rolled edge to hug the threshold meets door edge. And used a tube adhesive. (Have you seen the prices of after mkt thresholds??!!) Its held up pretty good
  16. My 2 cents. dont put a modern tire on those old tired rims. factory spec "steelies" are out there for $100 ea.
  17. Simply green? an organic clearer. some one back check me
  18. Welcome aboard. that thing is PRIMO! what could you possible want from us? youve got it all! (Lots of good advice and peoples in here)
  19. Blems?? what about retreads? put em on all my crap cars.
