  6. Yeah I will eventually pick up visor. I think the wife likes them as well. The swamp cooler came with car and is all rebuilt (new straw or whatever it is) and primered flatblack...I like it but I don't like the potential damage it does to car when installing and taking off so most likely I'll end up selling it (if she allows me to). I always wanted one (used to do Volkswagens) but it doesn't exactly streamline the vehicle... I think the car is very solid and have put about 600 miles on it since purchased. The wife drove it all day yesterday without issue and really enjoyed it. I think I want to do 12v for brighter lighting because it's pretty dim in the back...I do have turn signals which is nice but still only single brake light.

  7. drive careful.....watch for lane jumpers when you try to keep a safe towing distance between you and the car in front..the idiots tend to think it is a 'free zone' just for them to occupy....most have never in their life towed a large trailer or load behind their car and have no clue the increased braking necessary ...

  12. Hey Falconvan, I used the same rear axle in my 47. If you didn't cut the sway bar brackets off the axle tubes, the factory explorer sway bar is an easy fit. Need to make upper frame brackets and bolt it together. Adam

  15. http://www.imperialclub.com/Repair/Lit/Master/025/cover.htm You may need to read all of this to see if applies to your truck. Good read! While everything on here was written for cars it is they same ideas for trucks too. Also for all brands of the era except for the very few unitized bodies made. DJ

  16. Maybe not. Rex made that post in Oct 2006, and it took over 10 years for a reply to the post
