greg g Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 What do bear droppings look like. I was mowing the grass this morning and under out mulberry tree, along with numerous piles of dear droppings are several deposits of other skat that I know ain't deer, dog, goose, raccon, coyote or mine. I'd post a picture but thats a bit to far OT. If anybody knows their bear skat, shoot me PM, and I'll send you a picture of some of the large deposits. This may be common occurance for some of you but we are miles away from the adirondacks or catskills where the NY black bear normally ranges. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 ever see a doughnut? just look for one that is off color, wrong texture and a tad odorifous Quote
JohnS48plm Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 The police shot a black bear in a residential area on the north side of Battle Creek a few weeks ago. I think he was looking for some breakfast cereal. JohnS Quote

Johnny S Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 The "Pile" is generally pretty sizeable and filled with the "fruit of the day!". Kinda reminds one of Paul Bunyan relieving himself in your backyard. Dog sized? Coyote! Quote

Ed Griffin Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Only have bear hunted once in CA and had no idea what to look for until now. Something must be going on with the black bears. Just recently there was one running around the south of Memphis area around the Tunica casino's in MS and was eventually captured and moved south, the direction it was following, the MS River. Then there was a report of a couger sighting and showing places of sightings which were all over this county. Maybe all the animals have decided to take their land back Quote
Arthur1947 Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 This also might help. Since this thread has taken a turd for the worse......... Best. ARTHUR Quote
