55 Fargo Posted September 3, 2007 Author Report Posted September 3, 2007 Norm, overcast, the odd shower and low 70s here today, Friday it was around 90, that is hot enough for me, 110 to 115 is not my idea of fun................Fred Quote
55 Fargo Posted September 3, 2007 Author Report Posted September 3, 2007 One more thing, this threadis going to be a year old in November, didn't think it would get past last November..........LOL Quote
Normspeed Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 I think this one will keep going. It must be a record on the forum already for number of posts. We could use some of that rain, it's getting kinda parched down here. Last night the overnight low was 70, I would think normal would be well down in the low 60s. Still ok sleeping weather though. PatS.... Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 Not too long and the title will be appropriate again!!!! Quote
Johnny S Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 It's been hot here in Colorado (in the low to mid 90's) but some talk is flying about mountain snows already. We usually get high country snow by Sept 15. And, I've seen blizzards here at 5000 ft (a-boot 1600 meters elevation for our friends to the north) around Sept 17-20. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 We have had a great breakin the temp this weekend..humidity has been tolerable..this evening I got out in the shop and welded up the stress crack and broken spotwelds on the P15 hood..did a bit of acid etching..good start... Then I weed eated the yard, driveway, orhcard etc and mowed the lawn..just a tad over 2 acres..went well..looks great..now if I can just get the trs folks to pick up my limbs that were broken in three back to back windstorms..the pecans are so heavey this year and the limbs hanging so low..pile of stuff is about 12 foot long by 3 foot deep by 4 foot high.. Quote
knighthawk Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 It's been really dry here, lots of tree leaves falling... temp in 90's, humidity about 80 somrthing, now, rain forecast for the next few days. Is there NOTHING normal any more ??? Quote
Normspeed Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 What? No posts here since September?? Whare are your minds, in Kansas? Cold here tonight, it will be in the low 40s here and well below freezing an hour's drive away up in the San Gabriel Mountains. I'll be in NM shortly, where it's been even chillier. "Keep the thread alive!" Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 I think it was a whopping 26 this morning..quite a difference since my 75 MPH ride Friday night with the windows down and short sleeve shirt...makes for good sleeping temp though with the window open... Quote

greg g Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 As far as Mark Twain's question, I believe the latter is true. And has been that way for a long time. Quote

knighthawk Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 I don't know Tim, but that's not what I would call a winter scene ! ...........just kidding,... I wouldn't think you would get anything other maybe than ice. In fact, going to be in the 60's here in Kansas. Quote
knighthawk Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 Just thought I'd post on this "old" site................ going to be close to 0....thats ZERO degrees here tonite ! But supposed to go back up slowly to 60 on Sun, 63 on Mon. But's STILL cold ! Canada ain't got nuthin on us ! Quote
PatS.... Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 Well, we here in Western Canada aren't doing too badly right now. Nice and "warm" if you can call hovering around 32f warm I see by the news tonight that Fred and his fellow Manitobans are in a bit of a deep-freeze We have very low humidity out here and being born and raised here, I thought I knew what winter was. That is untill I spent a couple years in Winterpeg. When they say that the corner Portage and Main is the coldest place in Canada, they are bloody serious!!! I also experienced real humidity for the first time, both hot and cold. It was unbearable,,,along with the Bell 47 sized mosquito's:eek: I'm a wimp and came back to Alberta where winter is a bit more sane. 10 months of winter and two months of bad sledding Quote
55 Fargo Posted January 24, 2008 Author Report Posted January 24, 2008 Hi Pat, its not too bad here today -8 c,which is about 15farenheit or so.....Fred Quote
Young Ed Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Ok guys here we go again for the 2008-2009 winter season. Sunday forecast I heard was for a lot of snow. The DJ asked the weather guy what a lot meant in meteorology terms. He said 1/2 a foot or more! Monday mornings commute to work could be interesting......... Quote

Okay Ed, we are reviving this one, so here's my banter:D . Today it was 0 at dawn, a light dusting of snow over night, were looking at some snow over the next 2 days or so, Pat's Alberta Clipper is headed Eastwards, probaly whats also going to hit the Twin Cities. Tuesday night were looking at night time lows of -20, now brother that's crisp,a dn I don't mean like fired bacon. Lets face it winter is tough up here:rolleyes: , not that it isn't in other locales, just more severe up here.I will conituye to do body work in the garage tonight and tomorrow will shoot on some Tim Adams formula primer, garage will be at 60. I will be using heat lamps if I add a little more filler on the fender I am currently working on....................... Quote
