Plymouthy Adams Posted March 10, 2021 Report Posted March 10, 2021 first off am sitting in line beside a later model Mustang....owner has some identity issues apparently...had what looked like a mopar decal but could not get close enough to make it out...but as I went past him the Firebird Phoenix decal on the hood was most obvious.....wowsers....about the only thing I thought was correct was the 1/25 scale down spoiler glued to the deck lid. later I am cruising toward the wrecking yard to go on walkabout, I am about 62MPH and coming toward me was a fast moving car.....as it went by me and with my windows down, my ears got a jet wash like you read about...Challenger moving like a BOH I would place him well over the 120MPH...not much at the yard.....but I only cruised the one side as that was were the LBC was last spotted by myself. spring is almost here.... 1 Quote
Brent B3B Posted March 10, 2021 Report Posted March 10, 2021 Lol, thread title is “been a different day” and you mentioned a mustang owner with “identity issues” nope, sounds about right ? 2 Quote
Sniper Posted March 10, 2021 Report Posted March 10, 2021 I used to own a Mustang, a 96. Other than being 2" lower than stock and having somewhat fatter than stock tires it looked stock. Not a big fan of the Boy Racer (tm) look myself. Under the hood and out of sight mods, that I do. 1 Quote

MackTheFinger Posted March 12, 2021 Report Posted March 12, 2021 I've owned 2 Mustangs, a '65 coupe in 1970 and a '65 fastback a year or so later. Both 289 4-speed cars. The coupe was an ex-drag car, a real beast. Traded it for a '58 Chevy 2-door wagon and a motorcycle. Later on I traded the motorcycle for a 4-speed turbo Corvair convertible. The fastback was as-new until some schmuck in a Bonneville decided to plow into the back of it at about 100mph. Suddenly the fastback was a lot shorter, the trunk was in the back seat. Sent my now wife and I to the hospital. Not a fun evening. I think we both survived although sometimes I think neither of us did. Quote
48Dodger Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 I've wrecked a few old Mustangs in my day...I mean, after all, I was racing my 72 Charger around the track gettin' to the finish line. Rubbin is Racin' 48D 1 Quote
