keithb7 Posted February 2, 2021 Report Posted February 2, 2021 What local time does the sun rise in Alaska right now? I'll guess 8:30 AM? Quote

casper50 Posted February 3, 2021 Author Report Posted February 3, 2021 Brent if you make it down to the Kenai Peninsula give me a shout. Fishing the Kenai river for Kings, (if they have a season this year), is an awesome experience. We also have trophy trout in it. 30" ers aren't uncommon. 1 1 Quote
sidevalvepete Posted February 16, 2021 Report Posted February 16, 2021 A couple of hours past sunrise but the view south from "the new burn" this morning. A month or so past mid summer. 20° Celsius. No snow but still green. Mid June, mid winter. Typical fine winters day. Again looking south. This time from below the old bush paddock. Temperate climate here. 2° Celsius. Only twice in my life has snow covered the ground here. Behind me to the north as the crow flies about 12 miles to the sea. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted February 16, 2021 Report Posted February 16, 2021 sunrise...I though the government took the sun away...not seen it in I do not know how long.....figured they found the fix for global warming.... OK folks...this is a joke....!!! but not seeing the sun of late is not.... Quote
plymouthcranbrook Posted February 17, 2021 Report Posted February 17, 2021 I often feel in winter here like I suspect what people in Seattle must feel. When I see the Sun I wonder what we did wrong. Quote
