Hi guys and gals thanks for the add

I just recently got the car of my dreams and am anxious to get it started. But before I do so I need a few parts, most importantly the trunk deck lid. If I'm not abel to get an original could I some how put two ends off a club coupe and add the center.? Any ideas my friends?

I believe the deck lid is the same part on all Mopar 46-48 3 window coupes.  So you don't necessarily have to find a Dodge unless you need the parts that attach to the deck lid also.

I had to make one out of two.  The original was rusted on the bottom.  The 2nd one I found was sitting in a barn with the top on the ground leaning against the wall so the top was rusted.

That is one slick paint job!

If you lived in the Seattle area I could fix you right up with a NOS 1941 Chrysler trunk lid....same except for license stop lamp holes.

Yes my first time using metallic paint.  My 2nd paint job.

You may have found your retirement occupation.

I've found out that a good paint job is 80% body prep.

Yup,the tedious, unglamourous work that most people don't even relalize is essential, and even most of the people who do suspect all the work involved, just don't care about.

Everybody wants to cut corners and get a bargain price. It just ain't possible.
