Visiting with a retired brake specialist last week and he said one of the '30's Imperials had disc brakes, front and rear. I do not recall which year. He said the calipers were nearly full circle and had small brake pads that nearly surrounded the rotor.

Information from the net indicates Chrysler had four wheel discs on the 1949 Chrysler limos. I will revisit my source who said it was a one year offering. Crowley had four wheel discs early also but only one year.

Maybe something like this? From a 50 Mopar parts books. Shows to be on C-49 and C-50 Chryslers. Option? Book does not show model application.

The Ausco-Lambert 4 wheel disc brakes were factory installed as std equipment  only on the 1949-55 Chrysler Crown Imperial 145" limousines and the 1950 Chrysler Town and Country Woodie.

All extremely low production high dollar cars.

Parts are not available so need to be sourced/made if needed or rebuilt.

A couple pics of these Ausco-Lambert brakes I need to reline/rebuild for my 1950 Town and Country woodie...
