I'm looking for a quality rebuilt 218 or 230 inch motor for a 1946 Plymouth Deluxe. I have looked online but can't seem to find any sites. Can anyone direct me to some quality sites? Thanks, RFCR

I think your best and safest bet it to check into having your engine rebuilt by local machine shops. Go to garages, races, and other areas where cars are repaired and modified, and ask them who they recommend to do engine rebuilds. Get any quotes in writing, and then go for it.

The good news is if there are any problems, the rebuilder is local and you won't have to pay any shipping fees or discuss things on the phone with people far away.

Vintage Power wagons are the only ones I can think of that might be able to supply you a rebuilt crate motor. Otherwise as the last poster said check out some shops in the area and get one done locally.

I saw one on ebay yesterday . It was listed as a rebuilt engine . In the photo it didn't look like it was that fresh and the price was expensive . And you don't know how it is on the inside by looking at the outside .

i looked into getting my 218 rebuilt here in orange county california and i was looking at no less than $3500. there's one available on craigslist right now that says it's rebuilt with a T5 trans attached for $1400.

I have never heard of these folks before. Appears they sell a T-5 adaptor kit.
