Don Coatney Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 Is that an 8N in the barn? Quote
greg g Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 Chrysler bought controlling shares of Rootes Group and continued production of ford powered Tigers till engine supplies ran out. They had experimented with installing the Mopar 273 in the Alpine but fitment issues prevented production. The tiger was dropped in early 67. Quote
P15-D24 Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 Buddy of mine had one back in the early 70's. Fun, fun ride! Another buddy had the Alpine version, no so fun Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted December 31, 2014 Author Report Posted December 31, 2014 that Don was my old 9N with Simpson two speed transfer case...not a very common set up as I learned..good eye...but I don't think is the first time you have snooped about in another man's barn... Quote
plymouthcranbrook Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 I had two Alpines in the late 60's and mid 70's. Not both at the same time. Fun cars but a lot of upkeep. I still regret not having enough money to trade my 66 Alpine and $1000 for a 66 Tiger. Back then $1000 was real money Quote
