nonstop Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Just curious, did you want your money back, or would you have been happy with another spray in? I don't understand why corporate will not offer to send you to another franchise to warranty their product. The guy sounds like an ass when he talks about not being aware of a time he needs to respond by. I also looked at testimonials on their site. Couldn't find yours. I understand they control the site and it's bad to leave bad testimonials up, but how many others have been removed? Quote

The guy sounds like an ass when he talks about not being aware of a time he needs to respond by. I also looked at testimonials on their site. Couldn't find yours. I understand they control the site and it's bad to leave bad testimonials up, but how many others have been removed? I have been turned off these spray in liners now, so I do not want another one in my truck. I would like a refund of my purchase price. I too have checked the "testimonials" on the Corporate site, I don't see it there either.....so the owner of Trademasters argument..."That information is on-line now and I can't do anything about it...so..." is really invalid. So really the only thing the negative testimonial did was to get everyone's attention. I highly doubt Corporate LineX will post that testimonial up on their website. Quote
nonstop Posted November 19, 2014 Report Posted November 19, 2014 What would happen if you kept posting it until somebody finally did something? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted November 19, 2014 Report Posted November 19, 2014 block the server from testimonial uploads Quote
Ulu Posted November 19, 2014 Report Posted November 19, 2014 $600 is less than I'd imagined, but still, that ain't peanuts and I can well see how ticked off you'd be over the whole business. But I would at least spend the $60 it costs here to file in Small Claims Court. You can file for up to $7500 here, so it would pay to ask for recovery of any incidental costs too. Quote
thrashingcows Posted December 2, 2014 Author Report Posted December 2, 2014 Here is an Update! My last communication with the Corporate Regional manager was when he told me he was going out of the country for a few days. After that no more communication. Then a few days after that I received an E-mail from head of Canadian business and franchisee's, or some such title. Think it was the regional manager's boss? Anyway this woman e-mailed me and wanted my phone number so we could talk. I responded to her politely that I wanted to keep our communications in the written form, due to the potential for unwarranted emotional statements to be uttered. And as a record of all communication just in case I have to contact the Media, or take legal action. After that I received no further communication from anyone. Then last week I received an E-mail from Wayne, the owner of trademasters, and the Line-X franchisee who sprayed the liner in my box. The e-mail was brief, but stated that a full refund was being given to me, and the check should arrive in a few days. The next day I received a response from the BBB. They had contacted Trademasters and got a written response to my complaint. There was the expected defense of their situation, and the statement that they thought my preferred solution to this issue was unfair, but at the end of it it states that a full refund was being issued.I have the check in hand, arrived a couple days ago. Will be going by the bank tomorrow to deposit it. 6 Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted December 5, 2014 Report Posted December 5, 2014 Then......there is that old saying that an unhappy customer will tell 10 times as many people as a happy customer. Which you have done some of. So they are probably money ahead in the long run to refund you. I don't think that amount will bankrupt the company. Now, you can say they were "good guys" and returned your money. Or, they hope you do. Quote
Frank Elder Posted December 6, 2014 Report Posted December 6, 2014 And to think all they had to do was scuff up the bed a little.......presto chango....satisfied customer! Musta been close to beerthirty when the minions decided to skip that step. Quote
