JerseyHarold
We'll be visiting our son in Boston that weekend so we'll be within shouting distance. I'll know more as the date gets closer.
Mark D
Bumping this back to the top of the list again. Date is getting closer gents. Heard from Paul and he wont make it this time. Went to visit Moose yesterday and his rides aren't in shape yet, so he's out. Harold if you want to make the drive to VT, we'd love to have you join us. We're booking our overnight accomodations, anyone else want to join in? Hey Mr. Reddie, how about you? Speaking of visiting Moose, his wife was nice enough to let him away from his honey-do-list and lend his mechanic skills to me for a bit. He gave me a few pointers under the hood. Tweaked my carb balance, helped me adjust my choke linkage (likely the cause of the rough running I had last week), and tweaked my front brakes with a minor adjustment. Put just over 130 miles on the ODO down and back to his house from mine, with no issues (except for what seems to be a sticking brake light switch). The car got a nice bath last night and this week she'll get some more detailing. Moose also helped me patch together my dual point dizzy and gap it on his machine. Will save an intial run on the new dizzy for after the trip to VT. Looking forward to this trip and touring in VT.

Old cars, museums, sightseeing, breweries, comradery, bad jokes, puns, consumption of libations, watching the natives hug trees... What more does it take to get you guys to join in? pflaming
48dodger is right. Start the party and it will grow. The mighty oak was once a nut! 20 years ago my older brother, a cousin, and I asked relatives if they would attend a reunion. The response was nil. So we set a date three years out, found a small Bible Camp we could rent and set the date and paid the down payment. We told the relatives the three of us and our families were going to vacation at said spot and invited others to join us rsvp. We had 70+ relatives from some 8 different states show up at the camp near Denver, CO. You might do as Tim did, do it at your camp then there is no initial cost and you have complete control. Last year Tim had members from Austrailia, Wisc, MN, OR, etc. "You build it, they will come."
greg g
OK so what your saying is that if two nuts get together our chances are better than a single nut. Well if that is the case we have arranged lodging at the Ascutney Holiday Inn arriving in the afternoon of Friday July 11. We will be visiting the American Precision museum in the AM on Sat and a microbrewery in the afternoon. Sat Evening is open as is Sunday. Either seeing sights in VT or heading for Saratoga Springs to visit the Auto Museum there. This meeting of the POG (Plymouth Optomists Group) is open to any one who wants to join in. If you are in the area we shouldn't be hard to miss look for a Black 46 Business coupe and a 49 Burgundy 4 door running around. The POG's; If you’re not living on the edge, you’re taking up too much space. T minus six days and counting.

1940plymouth
Mark and Greg, I so wish I could join you three, I will in spirit, but that weekend is my wife's birthday (July 12) and to be honest with you, I trust the old Plymouth in our area, but I don't really want to be breaking down far from home. I do my best to keep her mechanically safe and sound, but....... Thanks for the offer, it was greatly appreciated, I hope you three have fun and I am looking forward to lots of Photos and stories, Bob
JerseyHarold
It looks like I won't be attending. It's my wife's birthday as well and she wants to do some sightseeing in Boston and visit with our cousins. Perhaps another time....
