Just trying to get a head count of folks who have not already responded yet. Just about ready to make reservations at the host hotel. Keep in mind that you don t really need to have a car there to have a good time, I m sre shotgun positions will be avaiable.

Just sniped the last room in the POC block for the Pt. Huron meet.  They don't mention an alternative.  Maybe Mr. Ungermann will chime in with some suggestions.

I just booked a room at the Marriott 1635 Yeager Street · Port Huron, MI about 2.5 miles from the host Hotel. Plan to arrive Friday August 22 and return home Sunday August 24.

Greg, I'm in.  Plan to drive my 49, extra trunk space will allow for extra local adult beverages to share in the parking lot.  Probably leaving St. Louis the Saturday before, stay in Detroit play golf, then off to the Maritime museum arrive Wednesday at the event.

I lived in Port Huron for 5 yrs (that's were my avatar picture was taken).  All of the hotels in Port Huron are relatively close to the venues.  Marysville, too.    After that, everything is about 30 miles out.  I'll be staying at my son's place in Ft. Gratiot.

Just a note to anyone planning to come early. The weekend (Saturday) before our meet is the Woodward Dream Cruise. Sixteen miles of 8 lane road (4 lanes northbound and 4 lanes southbound) of almost any kind of vehicle you can think of. Cars actually start showing up on Woodward a couple of weeks before. If you've never seen it before, it's something to see. Do a search for Woodward Dream Cruise. This will be the 20th year of the cruise.

I live 3 blocks from Woodward, right in the middle of the Dream Cruise.  Stop by.  Let me know you are coming.  (The best time to see the Dream Cruise is the weekend before.)

Don will you be hanging out at the POC event?  We are working on details of our counter culture Friday PM tailgate get together.  Would like to have you come by.  Bring a favorite adult beverage, and maybe a dish to pass.  We figure any where from 10 to 20 or so folks.

Who me?  Lemme play it by ear.  The 24th is my birthday.  Port Huron should be a short hop, after getting to Fort Wayne (and back)  for the DeSoto convention.  Not as short a hop as the Dream Cruise.  Stay tuned.

Greg, the election is official and you are In charge of the "outlaws" Friday night party !!!!! I am expecting your famous salted taters, white sausage. We should check and see if the hotel has a grillwe can borrow.

Not sure,  we need to see what works.  I wonder if the hotel has a grill set up like they had in St. Johnsbury, that would be great.  Start thinking about it, lets see how many people are going to attend.

Called hotel nix on the grille, now they are not even sure we can cook in the parking lot.  Probably should have operated under the easier to seek forgiveness rather than get permission.............. Oh well, maybe well be reduced to Micky Dee's and adult beverages................

I got a room at the host hotel today, they must have had cancelations. Friday they said there were no rooms available at the Plymouth Club rate.
