Nice transport for the instruments and equipment of a Bluegrass musician.

I'll have to explore in that direction. It looks like it winds in and out of Camp Pendleton. Do you cross checkpoints that require ID, etc. on the way? Thanks! I've driven that route several times and was never aware we were entering or exiting Camp Pendleton..

pflaming
Great pictures, it seems the roads look better through the windshield of a old car. I really like driving mine. Thanks for sharing.
40plyrod
Nice pics Bill. The last one reminds me of a picture I tried to take this spring when I took the truck to Cortes island to meet up with the family.

mrwrstory
I'm having a top done for the Roadster by a pretty together young man. This as I approached his place a coupla days ago.
40plyrod
This one is from the passenger seat but still cool to me. Blasting down the back roads of central Alberta in my buddy Dale's 54 Olds with canola fields on either side, not much of a stretch to imagine that it's the 50's.

mrwrstory
I have a coupla car buds and we have breakfast together quit often. Steve asked me to drive his 41 pickup because he was particularly pleased with the transmission that was recently rebuilt. Before the cruising was over, the three of us had all swapped to the others cars. What a hoot and what a great idea it was. If you feel good enough about your car and have friends you trust, it's a new dimension to enjoy. Maybe the best part is seeing your car on the road, as others see it. However too, it's a great opportunity to enjoy the seat of the pants experience of anothers' ride. I am going to propose this to others in the future.

mrwrstory
I think I've been on that road. Nuthin like the back roads and the view from an old car.

And you’re exactly right, nothing like the view of the road through a split windshield with the hood ornament leading the way. busycoupe
I envy all you guys in southern California. You can drive your old cars year round. Here in New England we get about 7 months of driving weather. My Dodge has been in the garage "resting" since Dec 1, except for a brief run on New Years day. mrwrstory
y'all are lucky. You get time to work on your cars in the Winter. We here in the Southwest have to drive ours year 'round and never have enough time to properly maintain them.
