Mark D
A local friend of mine sent me these images. The two trucks are local and have been sitting for a while. Anyone have any interest in these two hulks? He knows the owner and is willing to part with them for short cash.
greg g
You could probably make money back on the curved glass, grill bars, and trim pieces. Doors, hoods and fenders look decent as well. Don;t know how desirable those parts are but around here they are hard to find in good condition.
41/53dodges
I'm taking it these trucks don't have a title? They look halfway usable, better than mine looked when I started! If I were closer I'd look into em, but i've got my eye on a 48' with a fluid drive! Now if I can get it before they scrap it...

They didn't start putting FD into the trucks until the B-2 models in 1950.

Apittslife
They didn't start putting FD into the trucks until the B-2 models in 1950. Really? Because I had a 48 panel, & I am pretty sure it had a FD in it. But that was many years ago & I may not be remembering things as they were. Apittslife
Any one have a picture or diagram to build one of these Grille guards? I second the request! As when I seen the cattle catcher, I thought about how it might be kewl to have one of those for my project.

greg g
Better shot of factory grill gaurd, looks like they may be dealing with a flooded condition, perhaps a spot of putty might have helped.
rkldesign
How cool would a grill guard look on a Route Van. I see a custom one made to match for a Route Van. It would have to be modified so it could be removed to fill the gas tank. Great picture above on the B series truck. Thanks for sharing it. Dodgeb4ya
Wonder why he's reaching under the hood?
GlennCraven
Wonder why he's reaching under the hood? He's just tuning it up a bit. Lately this truck's been running like carp.

Jeff Balazs
I'll bet Jeff would like that. maybe ?, hank Yep! I would love to have a guard like that. Those are very cool and might just wind up being a totally appropriate accessory. I am working on a two year plan to get the heck out of here and move to ranch country. I need to get over to Payson Arizona this winter and check it out. Jeff
HanksB3B
Mark Could we ask that a good picture head on of thet grille guard be taken with a decent camera and attached here. It wouldn't tak me too much effort to turn out a working drawing. Is it all made from one size bent metal bar stock and if so/not could you please provide that info as well? Great Find, Hank
