busycoupe
Congratulations! I just got my electronic copy of Classic Car today. Your Dodge looks great. Since your car is so original, perhaps you can solve a small mystery on my 48 D24. At the bottom of the dash there are 6 knobs with the key in the center. At some time in the past a P.O. installed a manual choke and replaced the knob to the left of the key with a black, generic choke knob. Starting from the left my dash has "throttle", "headlights", choke. What did the choke knob replace? Thanks, Dave

busycoupe
Thanks, now I'll have to look to see if my heater has a provision for temperature control. Up to now I have been turning off the valve on the back of the head in the spring and opening it in the fall.
1940plymouth
My new issue came today, great article on your Dodge Question, on page 51 with the coupe and bridge, is that a covered bridge? Thanx, Bob. No, it's not a covered bridge, it's actually an abandoned iron railroad bridge. Here's an uncropped version of that shot that shows it better... ....and a recent shot I took at a covered bridge just up the road from my house..... Up to now I have been turning off the valve on the back of the head in the spring and opening it in the fall. I guess i should add that it's not hooked up to anything on my car. I also just have a petcock at the back of the head to control coolant flow to the heater.
