Went down to the garage to do some work, cut the grass and trim bushes, I needed a mask so I drove the 41. I got in and let the car warm up dusted it off and drove off, got down to the gas station and was looking to see which side my gas inlet was on and looked down......... there it was a black snake. I had my daughter with me and she went out her door and I followed her the snake followed me, oh boy what a day I am going to sell all that stuff:eek:

Rodney,

Black snakes usually won't hurt anyone. Farmers like them around the farm. They eat the mice and rats. So, they'll keep the mice and rats out of your car for you during storage. Have to look at the bright side.:D They are more effective than cats.

Wimp!~ Does no good to hide behind a mask. The snake does not know or care what you look like anyway. Did you look for the baby snakes? They stick close to there mom:D :D :D

How much for the 41:confused:

I have had for years a large king snake living under my house in Hazlehurst Ga

I see him or her frequently easing out to my barn. I found him in my 41 Lincoln last year with a big bulge in his torso- I do not have any rodent problems here- they eat both other snakes and rodents

That car is now worth 10Cents, I am so trammatized that I can't even go near it. Don, I needed some of those body dust masked to cut the grass, My daughter and I were sneezing something awful. You know come to think of it, I did not see any mouse droppings in the car when I got in it Saturday. The snake must have eaten them. I went for a ride in the Thunderbird today it's up here with me! No mice , snakes or anything else in that, thank god. I was still looking around though. I got to shake this as I have a car show to do next week end. I may have to have it towed to the show and never get in it.:( I have never been so afraid and I have seen ghosts.

Sounds like the snake left the car ..... probably for good. I don't think they have much of a "homing" sense at all. It's long gone Rodney. Not to worry.

Rodney,

I'm sure your car will win it's favor with you at that show. Has to be a show winner now. After all, it was nice before but not it's cleaned with "Snake Oil". Has to be a slick as a whistle now.:)

By the way, I don't wear a mask when cutting the grass. However, I have to stop multiple times while doing so to blow my nose. Cutting the grass really gets to it. It's funny because it didn't bother me until the last 10 years or so.

Snakes REALLY like Thunderbirds. Probably live in the Tbird and hunt in the Plymouth. Don, if you could go ahead and make the check out for 20cents, I'll pay you back later.

I've always liked snakes, but they still give me the willies whenever I come across one in the yard and not expecting it.

Brad;

How much would payments be at ten percent down and an APR of 9.5% over five years?

Maybe taking a benadryl 15-30 minutes before cutting the grass will help more than wearing a mask,,,or both may help the most.

Have you checked under the seat for this snakes girlfriend?? Maybe they were having sex under there!! Just kidding, couldnt pass it up. Do snakes have sex???

Snakes and me are okay as long as they are out in the open where I can see them. Sticking your hand in someplace and finding one is NOT appreciated. Good news is we have mostly all garder snakes here. have to go a 'little' ways to find a rattler. I would NOT like those. I was camping last summer about 200 miles west of here and their was this colorful little snake at the water hydrant. Looked like a coral snake or what I thouht they looked like. hard to imagine one that far west and dryer than a popcorn fluff. ( a true full fledged drought out there)

Not too many varities of snakes here in Gods country, we have Garter snakes, copper snakes and thats about it, we have horned toads in a desert area of the province, the snakes here are all harmless. I was looking in a shed I have on my property, have parts in this one, the other night as I was walking towards it, I noticed a little head looking at me from the underside, immediately recognized it as a Weasel, tried to club him but no luck, will have to snare him or something.........Fred

All I've seen around our house is Garder snakes. Run over them with the lawn mower every now and then when cutting the ditch. I haven't even seen one of those for several years. Wife said if she ever saw one while working in her flower gardens she would no longer have flower gardens. We do get an occasional deer or possum passing through the yard though. Had a Fox try to follow me and my dog into the back door of the house once some years ago. Had to get a pan and big spoon to hit the pan with to scare him off the porch. Haven't seen him since either.

Norm I guess the no snakes thing makes the winters seem a little more bearable!
