NobbyofTexas Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 I am trying to decide what color to repaint my 1952 Dodge B3 1/2 ton pickup and would like to request some of the members post a photo of their trucks. I am leaning toward a solid black or very dark blue but have not made up my mind. I would like to see what others have done to their trucks, paint schemes, two tones, etc. My favorite is red but wife, who is my partner in our 52 likes a darker color. When you have the time please post a recent photo of your truck... Thank you, Gary Miami Texas Quote
B1B Keven Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 Gary, This is not my truck, but it will be this color. Factory Dodge Truck Blue. Here's another place to get color ideas: http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/dodge/dodge.htm Quote

pflaming Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 I would get as close to Baylor U colors as I could. Someone will die for it; it would be a GREAT tailgate truck. Quote
Dave72dt Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 Bear in mind that the darker the color, the more unforgiving it is to bodywork. Black WILL show every defect in your prep so be prepared for a lot of hours. If you want an exercise in frustration, try getting the factory box panels perfect in gloss black. Quote
55 Fargo Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 I am trying to decide what color for mine too, was factory a coral type color, not my taste. Part of the truck was dark blue, as my truck isa mix of 3 trucks. Now Black or dark blue are pretty sleek colors, the recipient better have straight panels, if not lots of work, or lots of money. I am not sure what color(s), I am going with yet, this truck needs a lot of panel work.... Quote
Jeff Balazs Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 Me too. I have been looking for something unique. Has anyone ever seen a truck painted with that faux stone splatter paint? Jeff Quote
