ggdad1951 Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 well Young Ed came over to help, my buddy Ben (bearded guy), my nephew (who will inherit the truck) and myself (Fastenal T-shirt). Not the greatest edit (none) but it fired off fist time a little and by the 5th time or so running. After this video, ran it for the 20 minutes to break her in! BTW, lawnmower running at the neighbors..... I'M SO HAPPY! http://s1178.photobucket.com/albums/x365/ggdad1951/?action=view¤t=video-2011-05-07-10-44-43.mp4 Quote
Don Coatney Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Is there an open thread about the problems you had? I dont remember what the problems were. Glad you fixed it what ever it was. Quote
greg g Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Good on ya'll. but conspicuous by its absence was a fire extinguisher, With Ed pouring all the octane cocktail, it mighta had been a good ider to have one handy specially in the garage. Congrats on getting her fired. Keep going. Quote

Keep going. Fire supressant was right behind ed actually. Made SURE it was there for that and many reasons. As for issues for the build it came down to ground issues and the starter having a bent part in the clutch. Brakes we think we have figured, but that is another day. 7 hours later I still have a smile on my face. Edited May 7, 2011 by ggdad1951 Quote

Desotodav Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 Good job Mark (and Ed). What a proud moment! Not only does it look great, it now sounds great too!!! Well done guys, and congratulations. Desotodav Quote
Merle Coggins Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 I'm not sure but it looked like he was pouring his beer in it?Congrats Mark! George I thought the same thing, but I know that Ed doesn't drink beer. And if Mark can build an engine that runs on beer Miller/Coors and Anheuser Busch would be knocking down his door to supply fuel. Merle Quote

And tastes better too! George Quote
