Cheeesh! Can't get any ideas on the hood issue?????? Whatsup :confused:

Anyway, one another note, got the 3x2's plumbed and hooked up finally. Surprising how many folks said, "how come you don't have them 3x2's hooked up? Of course those are mostly blokes who have no car and no clue and think they are pretty bright 'cause they spotted just one fuel line. I had to reroute the fuel supply to the block on the firewall and then do the linkage and gaskets on the outboard carbs. It's a vision I've had for some time. Yeah, totally impractical but then,...what's "practical" about the cars and projects we work on anyway. Also took the opportunity, when the carbs were off the manifold, to drill and tap for a cleaner route for the PCV valve. It all seems to be working pretty well. Fired it up with no issues and no leaks. Idles about 100 RPM faster than previous. I'll see how it drives tomorrow.

Awesome work as usual. I gotta say everything I see a new post by you in this thread I'm almost afraid to open it thinking it might be that you finally found a buyer for your car.

I'm replacing all the glass in the coupe. The originals are all in pretty good shape,...a few small bubbles on some edges, no cracks. The rationale' for the total re do is that I am deleting the vent windows. Except for the curved rear backlight, and vent assembly, I'd give all the flat glass to anyone for the cost of UPS. I'd sell the curved rear piece and good vent window assemblies pretty reasonable.

Next week I'm hopin to show off new wheels and tires too.

Did you find a source for new curved glass? I wasn't aware that its available.

Yes, Local guy who says he can do anything. Someone,....I'm embarraassed to say I forgot who, on this form had him do the glass in a chopped DeSoto. Not sure how but it's all about the tempering. He's done many round here, a real craftsman. I've seen his work, 'tho not on a P-15. Of course it is not laminated. I'll show the results when done.

:(While waiting for the glass guy I decided to pull the front glass and regulators. Whadda pane! I thought I was pretty good mechanically, 'specially takin things apart. However, I'll be dipped if I can figger how to remove the regulator and channel. Probably made a mistake by first unbolting everything attached to the door. Must be a way to seperate the window assembly and regulator,....but like I say, I'll be dipped :o

The passenger side is still in tact. How should I have started :confused:

There are 2 clips that face the outside of the door to remove the glass channel from the winder arms. Once those are unclipped the window will tilt and come out the top of the door.

"Diabolical!" all's I can say. With mirrors and picks and a lot of cussin I finally succeeded, in removing the windows and channel. Wooda never figgered it out w/o the tips by Tim and Ed. THANKS!. Got the inside sheet metal cleaned and Dyna Matted, and the window frame reinforced where the vent window/window channel were deleted. By the way, all the glass and front window hardware (except the rear backlight), is available for the cost to ship, to the first requestor.I am anxious to get it to the glass guy so's I can test my new wheels and tires.

Been playing with hubcaps. Discovered I need a good 10" dia. to get beyond the stock ridge. Then I gotta figger out how to do clips to mount them.

This shows a Cop Car hubcap (rear) and a larger dia Ford for comparison. I like the larger size, 'tho either requires some kinda creative clipping.

Somehow the larger wheels also seem to accentuate the rake. A little much in my opinion so I will be fussin with that soon too.

I agree on the larger cap. Those cop wheels might be cool if they were a deep blue or black and maybe one pin stripe circle. Nice looking vehical. :)

I definitely like the larger hubcap and totally agree with you that the rake is too much. I know you will get it right and it will look cool when you are done, Mr. Bill!

I Googled Plymouth hubcap clips and see that there was some chat on the subject on this forum back in 2010.

I'm remembering that one of ya'll used some Chevy pieces with washers. I've found pics of VW pieces that look

like they could work. Anything new on the subject??????

Nothing new but that was me that posted the chevy info. However I've never tried it I forwarded it on from the 39-47 dodge truck group.

Bill we are going a slightly different route on our police wheels for the "Kids" wagon-- taking the center cap that Ford uses and sanding down the center part and filling in the Ford oval---then painting it semi-black like the wheels.They have a special lug nut that has a ridge on it that the center cap snaps on to. Then my pinstripe buddy will put the Chev bowtie in it`s place----same for the MoPar emblem or what trips your trigger.......Lee More pics in a minute....friggin computers

rest of pics.....Mr. Bill The last pic shows the special lug nut----notice the ridge----snaps niclely in place....nice clean install without welding any tabs.....This is a Ford bolt pattern and the studs needed for the special lug nut are 1/2x20--1 3/4 long---Dorman# 610-258----another option.................Lee

Any updates on the glass install? I have been waiting patiently.

Glass is done. Looks good on first quick looksee. I've been under the weather for a coupla days. I'm good now. Next week I'll followup with a better answer.

PLEASE DON'T MESS WITH THE RAKE!!! It's perfect the way it is!

We'll see. I've made some 1.5" blocks which I hope to install next week. I can promise it won't be lower in back!
