Drove my '41 to work this morning. Have now driven 500 miles since the second engine re-build. Time for the first oil change. The car is now running great. Based on postings in this forum, last night I switched out the Champion spark plugs and replaced them with Auto-Lite 306's. The car seems to run better and the high speed miss I had is gone. Will be driving the car in the local Christmas parade on December 4 and then will lay up the car and remove the overdrive transmission to see what I did wrong when I last re-assembled it. These cars sure are fun when they are running right.

Good to hear Jim. When you get the OD figured out sounds like you will finaly have a dependable road car. 500 miles is an important milestone on a rebuild. They are nice drivig cars, no doubt.

Jim,

Congrats, glad to hear you are able to enjoy the Wagon after all your hard work:):)

Not to be a pain in the _____, but sure would like to see some photos of the Wagaon when you are out and about with it

That's great news. Finally, the love/hate relationship is in the love column. Good luck with the OD fix.

Thats great to hear, Jim. You certainly earned it. Now you can move on to more important things like dusting out the cracks in the dash trim.

Turn the radio down and enjoy the hum of a new engine.
