Jim Yergin Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Drove my '41 to work this morning. Have now driven 500 miles since the second engine re-build. Time for the first oil change. The car is now running great. Based on postings in this forum, last night I switched out the Champion spark plugs and replaced them with Auto-Lite 306's. The car seems to run better and the high speed miss I had is gone. Will be driving the car in the local Christmas parade on December 4 and then will lay up the car and remove the overdrive transmission to see what I did wrong when I last re-assembled it. These cars sure are fun when they are running right. Jim Yergin Quote
greg g Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Good to hear Jim. When you get the OD figured out sounds like you will finaly have a dependable road car. 500 miles is an important milestone on a rebuild. They are nice drivig cars, no doubt. Quote
