I wish this were true....but unfortuately if you search the web you can find

several different sites citing they can trace people and license plate numbers.

Scary stuff.

That it is, but those aren't "government" sites. You can find anything on the web. Luckily my D24 has had so many license plates on it since I've had it, I'd be hard to find if that's all anyone relied on. My only point is that its pointless (sorry) to blur something thats otherwise in plain sight. But better safe than sorry, I don't fault anyone for taking precautions.

well, big brother may be watching..that is why ever so often while driving along the road with no other traffic..a few gestures are made just to let him know that I know...its his sleazy cousins I keep an eye on

I wondered about folks who do that....now I know! I always thought it was Terretts (sp?) or something...:D

Seems NASCAR has officially put a value on the single finger salute. Apparently Kyle Busch gave an official a double bird during Sunday's race to show his displeasure with a penalty he accrued for speeding in the pits.

Today the sanctioning body handed down a fine of $25,000, so a single digit must be $12,500. So now you know what they are worth, perhaps you will apply them with more

consideration.

Gee,I've seen other drivers do that as well and I guess I mistakenly assumed the gesture may have been directed towards me...Now I understand :D

I would suppose that if someone looked up the number on my historic

vehicle plates,

my name would be listed at the address used when purchasing the

plates, as they are not renewed yearly.

That was about 3 houses ago. However, all they would need

to do is look in the phone book for my name and current address.

But all this stuff does give you pause to think.

There are numerous old cars of various types (antiques, rods, kustoms)

stolen every year. Whether they tracked them down or just happened

on to them by accident is, of course, unknown.

I would suggest that you have some type anti theft device, like a

hidden battery cutoff switch, or other disabling measure on your

car nowadays.

However, if they bring a rollback truck and winch it on.....none of that

stuff will help.

There are some tracking devices like Low Jack, but if they notice it,

the smart crooks can even disable that.

Just some food for thought........
