Young Ed Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Are you missing the inside window trims? Quote
Reg Evans Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Ah yes, that first ride is a wonderful thing. Quote
greg g Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Cool a two door sedan. Not many around. Keep pluggin away. Quote
1940plymouth Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Congrats, glad you were able to get her under motion, nice feeling isn't it Good luck, Bob Quote
old rat 49 Posted November 3, 2010 Author Report Posted November 3, 2010 Thanks. Ed I have every piece except rocker trim. It was a very complete car. Totally rebuilt floor and now just have outer rockers to replace and repair old accident damage in front of drivers door. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Shes a beauty, but then, I am partial to 2SD. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Man, that's great! Nothing like the first ride after working on one for a while. Should make a nice car once you get the other stuff done. I had one of those two door sedans back in the 1970s. I should have kept it as it was pretty nice......but I wasn't that smart back then. Probably paid something like $250 for it. Ah, well, hindsight is always good..... Quote
old rat 49 Posted November 3, 2010 Author Report Posted November 3, 2010 Niel, We could just swap and you'd have something to do and I could spend my time building a new Teardrop to pull behind it. Quote
carls 49 Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 congrats! bet you still have a big grin. Quote

Probably paid something like $250 for it. Ah, well, hindsight is always good..... If my memory serves me I paid thirty five bucks for my first P-15 (two door coupe and I bought it from a Buick dealer) in 1964. It was the rare 5 cylinder zero oil pressure car that did show a little oil pressure after adding a can of STP on every fill-up. As a high schooler I drove that 5 cylinder car 40 miles from home (one way) more than once. After all the abuse I gave it a rear spring finally broke and I sold it for fifteen bucks. Sure would like to find out if it survived and is alive and well today. Quote
oldodge41 Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 First ride, very cool. Looks great, keep up the good work! Quote
old stovebolt Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 The official first ride. After 8 months. Engine runs, Transmission shifts, goes down the road, steers and stops. What a wonderful day. Still a long way to go though. Nice ride. It appears you have a little "astro ventilation" on the rocker panels. Quote
old rat 49 Posted November 4, 2010 Author Report Posted November 4, 2010 That is to make it lighter and go faster. Rebuilt floors and now on to both rockers. Quote
